Czech resistance

Did any of the Czech plotters survive the war? What happened to the one who went to the Germans and told them the names of everyone he knew?

Thank you

reply

There were other parachutists not portrayed in the film with other operational plans. I would home some survived.

No one in the scenario depicted in Anthropoid survived.

Curda (the betrayer) worked with the Nazis for a while, he continued to operate in the resistance and portray other individuals and operational schemes plans. In a rare case where karma actually worked, he was captured after the war, tried by the allies and executed. If I am not mistaken he was one of the convicted from Nuremberg.

reply

Curda was hanged by the Czechs in Prague. Along with the other parachutes who switched sides and KH Frank

Hi,

the traitor received some money from Germans and worked for them during the war. After the war was hanged by Czech judiciary for his crimes.

Hi. That traitor named Čurda take 5 500 000 Czech crowns (200 000 Euro) Before it was really much in Czech. Today like you have 5 000 000 euro today. He lived with his family and he started work for Nazis. When was end of the war, Čurda went to Czech station and make confession about that story. In 1947 he was executed for parricide.

Only one man directly involved survived. Ladislav Vanek. Head of the network known as "Jindra" There are a few reports but the most common say he was caught and cooperated with the Gestapo. If that is the case I'm not sure why he was not hanged when the 2 traitors who switched sides( there was another one besides Curda) were. Possibly because he did not voluntarily hand himself in and betray people.
