Jamie Dornan trying to act

You can really feel Jamie Dornan trying to stretch his inability to be a dramatic actor in this film.

I feel bad for the guy. I suspect it might partly because he's just too darn handsome, it might be because of the lines he ad to pull out of his anus in 50 shades, but mostly it comes down to him just not having that brooding intensity that Murphy has. And this is far from Murphy's best performance.

It's all a bit disappointing.

"Far from Cillian best performance" Are you kidding me mate?? Its one of the best performance of him and brooding intensity?? Director and screenwriter want him to be alpha in the movie and As far as Dornan is concerned I think he done a really good job playing a vulnerable Jan. Those panic attack scenes were brilliant. What the *beep* looks of anyone had to do with acting?? For me this is one of the best movie in 2016 when comerical cinema just disappointed us.

This is the first movie I see with J. Dornan in it. I didn't even know who J. D. was!
I liked him ( except for the fake accent which I've complained about already ), I watched him in "The Siege of Jadotville" yesterday and I thought he was good, he's very handsome, yes, that may hep or not help...some people might think he's just a sexy guy trying to act, but to me it looks like he can do his job and he'll probably improve with experience, if he is offered and he chooses good scripts.

"Please, if you are trying to convert me, this isn't a good time"

I am hook to The Fall & its creators almost rejected Dornan for the role because of is looks but Alan Cubit wanted him to be cast as the Paul Spector and said if he isn't the get the role there will be no show. So apparently looks doesn't really matters. Dornan's fan girls will get upset but I think He is a average guy who is certainly a good actor.

I agree that Dornan is excellent in The Fall, playing a serial killer. He was pretty good here as well despite the fluctuating fake accent. I haven't seen him in Fifty Shades (and don't want to). I think he's capable of better roles.

If anything, it was Murphy who distracted me the most with his exceptional blue eyes! He's a terrific actor though.

And all the pieces matter (The Wire)
