The British Independent Film Awards: BIFA (nomination)
I'm from Spain (my English is very bad 😢), I just learned that Jamie received a nomination for BIFA as best supporting actor. (He did not win)
I'm happy with him because he did a good job in this movie.
Yes, he in 50 shades did a bad performance, the movie was bad and the character of Grey is worse.
But many actors make bad films and act badly. And they have Oscars on their shelves.
I do not say that he's the best actor of his generation, or that he is going to win an Oscar. But before the '50 shades' boom, he got very good reviews for his work on The Fall, with nominations and prizes included.
But the hatred that generates '50 shades' as a product aimed at the female audience and because it is not a good movie has made people prejudge him as has happened with so many other actors, nothing is new. People are very radical in their opinions and hatreds. Especially on the Internet.
I'm not a fan of 50 shades, precisely. But I understand that it is an industrial product. End.
