Thought that something wrong with the pace [spoiler]
Until the church scene started.
I think that me and my wife didn't breath for a couple of minutes.
That scene was absolutely terrifying and brilliantly acted by the cast.
shareagreed! what a scene. And to think that even in real life they held the Germans off for 6 hours.
I live in Prague and I visited the crypt (which is now a memorial) and the church. On the outside of the church you can see bullet holes around the little window where they put the fire hose through. There are always flowers and candles there.
In the film. the church and crypt looked so real i thought for a minute that they filmed there but then thought that would be impossible. But they are exact. I later saw an interview with Dornan and Murphy and they said that the church and crypt sets were built to scale at Barrandov studios and that they'd never seen such a realistic set in their lives.
