Dont believe all the hype written by 'Nazis are cool and had the best uniforms' types.
SS units esp early war took very high casualties particularly because of their gung go attitude (In WW1 where the storm troop concept originated, even late war the Germans still demonstrated incredible tactical naivete and were mown down in large numbers by the Brits duting the 1918 Offensive) Also like the murderous thugs involved in the liquidation of the Warsaw Ghetto and the Warsaw Uprising, they probably underestimated the capacity of Slavs etc to fight.
Also as based on true events, they did not use gas to get them out as it lasted 6 hrs and they brought in the Prague Fire Brigade to flood it. Germans, the nation with the worst strategic military leadership in history
