who were the dudes in the suits with the ss in the church?

one was blonde and the other had glasses. i couldnt find anything doing some research.

Weren't they Gestapo - un-uniformed secret police?

They were gestapo. The assassination was treated as a murder and the state secret police (gestapo) were the investigators. Although troops were used due to the close combat circumstances as far as they were concerned they were executing an arrest of "terrorists".
