Not American myself but I've noticed in American movies the medicine cabinet is always in the bathroom. Is this where most Americans keep it for real or just something they do in the movies? Because think about it it's not the best idea to keep your drugs in the only room where its socially acceptable for guests to lock themselves in alone.
shareMost homes now have a guest bathroom and then one off the main bedroom. I figure that Lucy had a humongous house that had at least two bathrooms if not three or more. Most people would never put their own medicine in any other cabinet than the private bathroom which only they use. I thought it was a bit silly - but it's not beyond the scope of reasoning. People used to do this all the time before having the private bathroom area. And yes, people would rummage through them.
shareNot American either but wondered is it only Americans that have there tablets in these kind of dispenser/bottles, here in the UK you get packets where the tablets are individually sealed and you have to 'pop' them out of the packet to take them.
Ive thought how much easier it to overdose when they are just filled up in bottles you can just miscount the amount you take or just neck the whole bottle back in one!
I think it also just depends what type of medicine. We have both in Iceland.
