So?! Have the writers never heard of a DNA test?
All Simon has to do is take a paternity test to confirm whether he's the father or not.
shareAll Simon has to do is take a paternity test to confirm whether he's the father or not.
shareIt could inform that but if he is the father he will never know if a rape happened or not and I'm not sure if Simon has the time to do that with being busy selling the house, getting a new job and we have no idea if he would have the money for this and Robyn could be long gone for all we know.
shareYes, but those things were happening before the "climactic" scene of him watching the DVD. Robyn is leaving him because of his actions and because she found out he's a bully. He lost his job for the same reasons, more or less. None of that has to do with whether or not weirdo raped his wife or not. The end of the movie is set up to make us wonder or not whether Weirdo is really the father or not. Which is why he says mysteriously "it's all in the eyes." Umm, no actually it's all in a DNA test weirdo.
share^^Simon - is that you?
The ratio of people to cake is too big.
I'm no lawyer but...

Actually, legal paternity (in most if not all States) is more important than genetic paternity. If Simon's name is on the birth certificate, he's the legal father. If the baby is Gordo's by rape -- it would be rape, among other crimes Gordo committed like trespass and breaking & entering -- Simon might try to sue Gordo civilly, but no court will leave the baby without paternal support unless the mother waives it.
IMHO.
