They were basically in FPCON Delta, every vehicle that approached the perimeter within maximum effective range should have been lit up. But they waited until the insurgents started to attack.
shareYeah that annoyed me but I kept thinking about what a lot of these special forces guys say re: when or when nor to engage the ememy. These days they're afraid to kill someone who might be innocent because the liberal media/politicians will stick them in Leven worth & or they'll be villified in the press. I guess its had a huge impact on rules of engagement. Personally I think it's sad that these guys have to second guess themselves in such dangerous situations all because they're afraid of repercussions coming from people who are thousands of miles away & know nothing about engagement from foreign forces who hate us so much & want us dead with no questions asked
