Yeah. She's not my "ideal" candidate, nor do I even really like her on a personal level. Still, she has a ton of experience and knowledge in policies (both foreign and domestic) most people take for granted. Much of the negative buzz which surrounds her is largely a sensationalized fabrication fueled by her opponents who hate her regardless of what she's done anyway.
Discussing politics these days is largely moot because people from either camp simply will not budge. I think it's the campaign in which the issues have become the least important talking point so far. Most of the time, people of all ages would rather just hurl grade-school "conservatard" and "libtard" comments back and forth at each other. It'd be hilarious if it weren't real. 99% of the time, most discussions I've seen place end up in nothing but time wasted, with people just clenching their fists even harder.
With all that said, I find it strange and embarrassing that Trump was even allowed to progress to this point. I understand his rise; people are hurting and in fear and he's essentially delivering simple slogans to tell them exactly what they want to hear. What's more odd is people who really understand the responsibilities of public office, yet reluctantly support him anyway, ie Paul Ryan & John McCain.
I couldn't care less about his moralistic standpoints or his delivery. It's his competence and understanding of public issues that make me wonder why he's even being taken seriously. In my opinion, he belongs with Rush Limbaugh and Ted Nugent - influential to the people but still lacking any real control of policy.
Again, I don't even really like Clinton. But my vote isn't for HER. It's not even for the party, as I'm against parties in general. It's for the performance I expect of her, which I could say without a doubt will be the lesser of two evils.
