Last 20 Seconds...? (SPOILERS)

So, I scolded a group of 5 obnoxious teenagers—who I'm fairly certain were too young to be in the theater in the first place—into submission during the first few minutes of "Don't Breathe."

They kept their mouths shut the rest of the film, but one of them made a smarmy comment as he literally ran toward the exit in the final few seconds of the movie (really courageous, this guy was). As a result, I missed the last couple of seconds of the film.

I know that Rocky and her sister were at the train station but did they actually get on the train? I saw another comment that suggested that after seeing the news report, they headed toward the "departures" area and out the door, suggesting that they were staying in Detroit. Is that right? Or were they already in California at this point?

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

It all happened to fast and I really had to use the restroom so I missed exactly where they were headed. I just remember thinking the ending was kind of lame.

I thought that she decided not to go since they went outside, but the markings on the floor should have said "arrivals" if the door led outside.

Props to you for shutting up the kids, seems like nobody has manners anymore...

'Departure' means to leave a place. If you've flown before, when you leave a city you depart. She left Detroit and went somewhere in California, likely on the coast because her sister wanted to go to the beach in the film.

I'm aware of how "departures" and "arrivals" work, thank you. The issue is that the "departures" line appears to take them to what appears to be the front/lobby doors of the train station. If you've ever been in a train station before, you'd know that you don't typically walk back out through the lobby/front doors of a train station to board a train.

Were they at a train station? I totally missed that - I thought it was an airport! Shows you how much I pay attention. In any case, I got the overall impression that Rocky and her kid were leaving Detroit (there's no way that they would have stayed). Otherwise, I don't see why they would have been hanging out there. If they were in California, they would have gotten a cab/uber and left, right?

As to that ending, it looked like a train station. But when Rocky hears the news, and learns the blind man will survive, it also says no money was taken. I wondered about that. The cops would only know that if the blind man told them. And the blind man also didn't say anything about a third robber (Rocky). He can't find her on his own-- Why not ask the cops? He buried the girl he kidnapped, so the cops believe what the newscast said: A blind veteran bravely fought off two attackers. Why not three? Nobody will believe Rocky the Thief if she's caught and says the blind man was a kidnapper and impregnater.
If Rocky and her sister are headed to 'Departures', it's safe to assume they're leaving. It's had to think they'd stay anywhere near Detroit.
