Who did you root for and what is your party affilation?
I rooted for 100% the blind guy and I am a libertarian and lean Republican.

75 or 60 percent the dog the rest maybe the blind man but I'm not sure how I feel about it and I'm mostly a democrat
shareI was rooting for the Blind Guy until he ended being a kidnapper. I generally will root for thieves in movies if they have likable qualities (e.g. Willie T. Stokes from Bad Santa, or DeNiro in Heat), but these thieves were boring and not special...so I ultimately didn't root for anyone, which was my main problem with the movie.
I guess I'm an independent. I actually hate labels, or labeling myself anything. If there's a word for that, then that's what I am, lol. I'm pretty liberal with social stuff, and drugs and all that. I don't vote, I share George Carlin's view on voting...and most things for that matter, lol.
Non-Republican (I hesitate to say "Democrat"), team Rottweiler lol. I really liked the movie, though - 7.5 out of 10.
shareI never root for thieves, exploiters, vigilantes, rapists or kidnappers, it was just an interesting premise. And Republican action hero-wannabes make me laugh.
Ghost dancers slay together and you're just in my grave
Blind guy 100%. Yep he was wrong and a kidnapper... he should've faced justice for that as well.
But those thieves were dicks. Wrecking other people's homes, leaving bodily fluids on furniture/floors, stealing, vandalizing. I wanted the blind guy to blow away all three.
What if you came home and not only is your stuff stolen, but items are wrecked, vandalized, there's feces/jizz on the walls/floors, etc? Not only do you have to file insurance claims and go through all that hassle, but how secure do you feel now? You're definitely going to experience psychological trauma from that, which may require counseling, etc. You're probably going to spend extra now on security, etc.
Thieves are absolute trash and I wanted the blind guy to blow away all 3. He could've done us a favor by blowing himself away in the end given the kidnapped chick.
I own a .45, fortunately no kids, but that thing is loaded with hollow points right in my bedstand. Someone breaks in, they're not leaving my place. I'll drag the body BACK inside and shoot one in the ceiling (saying it was a warning shot, and he kept coming) if I have to.
The blind guy, the rest were *beep* and should have died.
shareWell, that's the interesting thing about this movie : you don't have good guys on one side and a complete bastard on the other. I was kinda torn about it until the main characters find the kidnapped girl. Still, it wasn't a Silence of the Lambs kind of situation, the blind man wasn't Buffalo Bill... he was "just" a psycho. He clearly hesitates before killing Money, and I believe he wouldn't have shot him if that moron hadn't opened the door. At the end, I kinda wanted the antagonist to die if it meant Rocky surviving because I kinda wanted her to live, but it was never black and white. And it worked. I was worried about not rooting for anyone, at the beginning, but in the end, it's quite the opposite : I got Rocky's motivations, although I'm not condoning theft at all (no sh!t), and I got the blind man's motivations, although I'm not, well, a psycho. That was a pretty good movie. SO, to answer your question, I was rooting for Rocky in the second half of the movie, and I'm right-wing (I'm not american).
