It happened when she was a kid, which made her feel safe and gave her company.. but then it happened another TWO TIMES in the movie. I think a ladybug has flown onto my hand like once in my life without my knowledge of it being there beforehand.

Seriously? Guess it depends on where you live and how often you're outside, but that's not uncommon at all, those things are all over the place and they have absolutely no fear response to humans for some reason which does indeed cause them to land on ya.

Hm, it's not uncommon here (UK), especially towards the end of summer. If anything it's somewhat hard to avoid depending on what colour you're wearing, or the amount of mildew present.
