Let's be honest, the trailer and the cold-open ruined a lot of the movie

The trailer showed pretty much all of the big moments of the film (even going as far as showing him kill Money, which i find odd to include in the trailers)

IIRC it even showed the woman in the 'pillow pit'

And that cold open ruined a lot of the tension in the final act IMHO (it gave away that he would kill Alex at least)

The cold open wasn't needed

and trailers are starting to reveal too much

I am not saying it wasn't a good film BTW (It's not as good as critics say but still great)

The Shallows' trailer even showed too much but it didn't ruin my experience (I LOVED that movie)

i just really wish trailers would stop showing so much - i understand it's to get audiences swarming but why isn't a teaser trailer enough? (Look at Cloverfield)

Anyone agree or am i talking crap?
