Reaction of females in your theater to the big reveal?

I saw this film in a theater with about 30 other people. Even split between men and women, it seemed.

When Rocky woke up in the restraints, I was distracted by two teenage girls running out of the theater as fast their legs could carry them. That's odd, I thought, the movie isn't over yet!

Then the big reveal happened. The way it was drawn out slightly was genius directing. When the audience realized what The Blind Man's intentions were, every guy was quiet but it seemed all the women were gasping and saying "Oh my God!" Now, in horror movies, usually there are "nervous titters" from the audience when a scary/disturbing scene happens.
Not this time. It was pure shock.

In fact, two girls sitting behind me who didn't make a peep during the gore/jump scares were almost screaming and softly saying "Oh my Godddd, nooooo!" as Lang walked toward Rocky with the Turkey Baster in his hand.

Just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience from female audience members or your dates or whatever.

This is my signature, not part of my post, you clown!

Very similar experience. Except all boys and girls went like "HOLYY SH!T" or "OH MY GOD NO OH MY GOD NO". They went beserk when Alex turned out to be alive and crazy when she shoved the Baster into the blind mans mouth.

reply

REALLY???

Everyone in my theater burst into LAUGHTER... because it was so ridiculous... and from what I've heard from many others, they also experienced nothing but laughter.

That completely ruined the movie...

Sucks to be you guys who can't even enjoy suspenseful moments in life. :p

A lot of "ew"s

All I could hear was a lot of eyes rolling...

Tbh as a female watching this movie, when that seen came on my vigina shrivelled up so hard it became a black hole. To a guy I can imagain it not being that disturbing, but to a girl its *beep* the idea of being forced to be pregnant by a Turkey baster while being chained in a basement is fÚcked, espcially with the rapey vibes, the idea is just disturbing af

Pointing me out on spelling is just one hell of a poor argument..

Your comment was great, made me laugh.

I was glad they didn't go with actual rape, I can't stand rape scenes. I'm not a violent person but I could tear rapists apart limb by limb if I saw one happening and didn't control my anger.

Although, the turkey baster is definitely a form of rape, just not quite as awful.

same, rape scenes often ruin movies for me. lets just all be grateful that Zack Snyder wasn't allowed the batman rape scene ewhhggg

I'm not sure how everyone reacted, but I do remember this woman (who sat about 2 seats down from me) laughing during the entire scene. As a female, I was disgusted and very uncomfortable.

reply

I was WITH two females and I was more uncomfortable than they were!

Oh, you're a bad pony. And I'm not gonna bet on you.

I laughed my ass off during the turkey baster scene. Behind me there was four ugly feminazis but I didn´t give a *beep*
