Tusk is better and scarier

It's better written, funnier, has better characters, and the core concept is so much more psychologically disturbing.

Don't know why this movie is getting so much buzz.

No it's not. Hollywood can make good horror films too you know?

Unless it's a video for the old Fleetwood Mac album title song (whose sports marching band guest appearances CAN scare) then I doubt most have familiarity..maybe a IMDB link in your post could be edited in and help?

I looked it up..came out in 2014 and is by "Jay and Silent Bob" series creator KEVIN SMITH of all people.....(did the Fleetwood Mac iconic song hit appear..as I notced, the guest appearance of a sports marching band and the increasingly intense dramatic march music can be creepy as well as the cheering..)

They do play it actually, and it's during one of the weirdest and funniest scenes I've ever seen lol.

Tusk, IMO, was sooooo bad.

Tusk started out good, and creepy. Up until that Johnny Depp Inspector Clouseau knockoff entered the picture. At that point it veered off into self-parody. Smith pissed away all the unnerving buildup once that character showed up.

Logan, buddy. It's me, Deadpool! I shot youuuuuu....

For me when he shows up the film elevates into even more of a weird, kooky, midnight movie.

I thought he was really funny, it adds some comic relief, and it reminds you the film isn't serious, yet it remains deeply disturbing.

I think Smith nailed it, it's the perfect horror-comedy.

Really I don't know why people don't understand why the movie is getting so much buzz.

It's tied for the 3nd highest rated horror flick in this decade(25,000+ votes) with The Conjuring, only bested by The Conjuring 2 at 7.6/10 and What We Do in the Shadows 7.6/10. Plus reviews from everywhere have been exemplary.

Tusk was just bizarre and had zero scare factor, no thrilling suspenseful atmosphere. It was gimmicky and not far off from being Human Centipede esque in theory. What in the world made you pick that to compare to this anyway?

reply

What we do in the shadows isn't a horror, good movie though.

And Tusk isn't suppose to be scary, but it is horror.

Tusk sucked. One of the most boring movies Ive wasted my time of watching.

And no, if its not scary its not horror, I dont care what kind of subgenre you look up on internet, its not.

reply

It Follows is better than every film you mentioned.

You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, Darling!

reply

In your opinion it is, I thought It Follows was one of the most overhyped, overrated and anticlimactic films I've ever seen, but that just me.

reply

Now we know Kevin Smith's account here.
