Another movie influenced by the feminists

Let's kick his ass for trying to get her pregnant! Nevermind that she broke into his house, lets show how nasty he is for trying to impregnate her!

That's what we want everyone to remember by the end! Our body, our choice! Men are evil! Men are jerks!

Lets throw in a lady tied up in his basement, because he's a dominant brute of a man! We arent submissive objects!

Dude, I fooking hate feminism, SJWs and "equality", but I saw none of these things in this film.
I honestly feel your pain, and could never insult a fellow common senser, but looking for prejudice where it doesn't exist makes you as bad as the perpetually offended. You and I are better than that, brother.

reply

I didn't see it as being feminist, think you're reading too much into it. He's obviously not mentally stable after all he has been through, and I thought they gave us a reason to have some empathy for him, but none the less what he did was still wrong. It wasn't pro feminism, well I didn't see it as that way anyway.

Also I couldn't feel any sympathy for the people who broke into his house.

reply

i'm not sure if i could call in feminist especially with the way the movie ended and apparently there is trailer for this movie where blind man is at the train station where rocky is and if that is not a dream who knows what will become of her and her sister.

reply

It's clearly feminists. The two males die while she gets 4 people killed, commits robbery, and gets away? Why? Because she's white and attractive so the idiot viewers like yourself won't see it. F'ing idiots.

reply

the very least she owed him was a baby. Think of how many surrogates he could have bought for $1,000.000 or whatever the sum was. In fact given what she was prepared to do for that money, he could have probably got her to go dubai porta potty at the same time.

The real problem here though is why she was allowed to get away with the crime. Why did the young men die but the girl survive. You could say its just chance, but it clearly isn't. Survival justice in films is gendered. We worry about the girl in a way that we simply don't about the men, even though her male friend was clearly the morally superior one. Not only did she survive, but she got away with the money. The final scenes suggest the same justification that women use and society lets them use to stay out of prison, namely having a kid

There is definitely some narrative privilege in evidence here

Calm down. If you had a vagina, it would sound like you are on your period...

How can this be influenced by feminists? The writing credits are male..

And it wasn't a male vs female type movie. It was 1 girl + 2 guys breaking into a guys house, and basically them struggling to stay alive.

I will admit, I was rooting for the old guy (at the beginning.) They (the trio of thieves) were the criminals- with bad intentions, and he had every right to defend his house. I stopped rooting for him, once it was shown that he had a body in the basement..

I mostly wanted the Alex to survive, because (although not the smartest character) he had the best intentions and even sacrificed his freedom to save rocky. Rocky was shown to be selfish, throughout the film, and was shown making many bad choices.. She definitely was not a hero.

I don't know what you're on, but this movie did not scream 'woman's rights' or 'girl power.'

The internet really is a cesspool huh?

I sometimes wonder what these people who froth at the mouth about 'feminists and 'SJW's and all the rabid reactionary mythology do in real life?

Mostly kids, surely.

I'm with you. So sick of MRA types whining about every movie with a female lead character. These are the weakest kind of men there are. Wish they would all choke to death on their own watery vomit.

reply

It was her punching him when she got lose that seemed like... an attempt to make a political point. And a little girl cannot punch like that

Also keeping his... stuff frozen and then heat it on the stove. lol I really doubt that would work. I have no idea why they would have done that. Thats not political or anything it just was an odd choice by the writer.

reply

I don't think it was supposed to be political at all. He'd tied her up and tried to inseminate her against her will, so she was understandably angry. I would've hit him, too. She obviously didn't hit him that hard, because he made it out of the handcuffs, through the cellar and back up to the front door before she and Alex even got the locks undone.

reply

Relax. It´s just a movie. Share your feelings about "feminist propaganda" with your bros at the next MRA meeting and you will feel better.

reply

No its a reflection of how backwards society has becomme and how women think in general. This film basically says women can do anything and get away with it. Absolutely ridiculous. Won't see me visiting another theater again. I'm pirating every film from now on. Amazing how Hollywood is racists and sexist at the same time.

reply

Dude, I hate feminists just as much as you do and the whole movement is one of the most vile disgusting supremacy movements in human history, but you are REALLY reaching for the stars here.

reply

You're an idiot and deserve to die. How is this reaching? Are you stupid? Oh wait she's a pretty white girl with a sob story so you root for her to be blinded by the obvious feminist narrative. I hope all you feminazis and sjws die of breast cancer you all make me sick. I wish ill on your children and your prosperity in life. You people are scum who don't deserve the beauty this world has to offer. I hope all stupid women like this die off.

reply

Op is completely correct and I guessed the entire film in the first 5 minutes. The d bag bf and the friendzoned kid. Knew d bag would die first and friendzoned would last longer but in the end the great WHITE FEMALE would survive.

Listen to all these blokes getting their knickers all knotted over male characters getting 'killed' on fictional films. Apparently ignoring the countless thrillers, horrors and crime films made about having women and girls being raped, slaughtered, dismembered, strangled, brains bashed out with heavy objects, drowned, stabbed, shot etc and so on, since fictional film was a thing and is still a favored form of cinematic entertainment with the masses. Oh God, how pathetic these fellas sound over some film rubbish.
