I agree! This movie is very scary and creepy.
The phone's for you. I think it's the Devil.
I didn't love it but it is a very good, and refreshing horror kind of film. It was weird because I felt really sorry for the veteran but I wanted the thieving scum to get away too. I was satisfied with the first one who got killed as he was a prick but the other 2 seemed to be ok as life ruining *beep* go.
I just felt like they would have took the blind guy out far easier by at least trying to knock him out at first.
The movie was fairly entertaining, but it was outright stupid on so many occasions that I could never give it anything more than a 6 at best.
When they're about to leave after handcuffing the blind guy in the basement, they decide not to alert the cops. In other words, their plan is to let the guy starve to death? Then it'd be more humane to just shoot him. Instead they handcuff him to a piece of damn cloth (exaggeration) or something, since he's able to free himself so quickly. Another lazy decision to keep the story going, very weak writing.
They had tons of opportunities to take the guy out, but even after he mercilessly shot Money in the head and they find out he has a slave in the basement he has inseminated with his sperm, they keep making these ridiculous decisions. Weak, weak, weak.
Despite all of the plot holes and such, I really liked it too. Surprisingly. I thought it had many rather dumb moments, but then I realized that most horror movies do, even the best. All in all, I was actually impressed and it did live up to the hype that was recommended by people who told me about it. For a horror movie of this year, I thought it was great, if not very good. 7.8/10, leaning toward 8.
