Gulf War vet...


Did he really have to be that old-looking? Jeez, most of us are barely in our late 40s. Don't send us to the old-folks home just yet.

Could have been in his late 20's early 30's during the war.

Yes, could have been career military, late in his career, when he lost his sight in '91.

The actor is 64, which isn't that old and apart from the white beard he looks pretty good for his age, so not sure 'old-looking' really describes him. He is in pretty decent shape.

So the character could easily be in his late fifties, so he would have been in his early thirties in the Gulf war...that's not all that hard to believe.

I think they're talking about the initial invasion in 1991. Not the return in 2003. I also assumed that that was when he was injured, not the only war he was ever involved in.
