In November 2016, Fede Alvarez confirmed that there will be a sequel, which will focus on Stephen Lang's character.

I hope he somehow tracks down Rocky and kills her! Who agrees?

I hope ether someone gets redeemed or that everyone dies in the sequel to make up for it being hard to root for people
