The woman possibly visited him at his home without telling anyone where she was going. Maybe he initiated the meeting under some false pretense. And a person doesn't need sight to take advantage of a woman that has become incapacitated by the same means shown throughout the movie.

On the news they said he was blinded by a grenade while he was in the military. He wasn't always blind.

That's a good point and plot hole.

Maybe he was resourceful. He maybe hire a few ex army to track and kidnap the woman. And will probably do the same on rocky

He hired someone to do it for him. I thought maybe the fence the beginning helped him to do it at as he seemed a very dodgy character and maybe that's he knew about the money in his house?
