In that movie a guy tries to pull off a quickie easy heist to save his family. He thinks it will be quick and easy. Turns out a psycho killer is in the house and has taken the family hostage. The thief has to escape the killer and get out alive.
Totally similar premise am I right?

Also very similar plot to the people under the stairs (1991) where the thief breaks into a house but finds himself trapped and hunted by a nutter and his dog. In that film he also finds people held hostage in the basement.
I think there are a number of films with the same premise, as turning the tables where the small time petty criminal meets a bigger criminal and becomes the victim is quite common.

Much, much better than The Collector though. That movie ran out of steam long before the end.
