shareLets be honest. If those two white kids were sitting in that car in that run down neighborhood in Detroit, they would be so f()ked. If not by the police then by the black people in that area. Hell the police might even just offer them an escort out of that hell hole. Of all the things that didn't happen in this movie, them being able to be white in that part of Detroit and not get in trouble was the most unrealistic.
Hell even the old man would be a major target. Probably why he was a shut in. He knew people would *beep* with him outside his house.

I run into a million punk kids from the suburbs who think they know more than me about black areas, even concocting wild fantasies and stories that I can immediately shoot down because they base them on gangster movies written by rich white trustafarians who bought drugs in the hood a couple times or had a black maid.
The old guy, ex-military, on benefits, would likely be living in Taylor, Livonia, Madison Heights or something, not the city of Detroit.
