Awful movie, director clearly doesn't know any poor people
I laughed because I'm very familiar with Michigan and the Detroit area. I was in tears laughing at the portrayal of middle-class and poor people here by the actors. Her dad/stepdad has a Nazi tat on his hand, mom is a piece of crap, but she and her sister have hearts of gold? Rocky has a lot of tats but claims she's going to stop doing it as soon as she gets out of Detroit, lol. What? No one I know that loves tattoos like that decides to just stop like that.
Money also has cornrows, which virtually no one has anymore. The actor didn't research his part well and comes off as pretty corny. It's just hard to take Money and Rocky seriously when their English and grammar are better than most of the idiot locals here. Also, Rocky cries about wanting to get out of Detroit and making it to California, but come on, she's a reasonably attractive girl, getting a job somewhere and paying rent isn't going to be hard. The whole story is one big contrived joke.
Also, what alarm company isn't corporate? Who would keep sensitive client information at home like that? The cops also never figured out any connection between these break-ins? Didn't understand blind guy tearing apart his home with those guns. He's got really great accuracy for being blind, lol.
Was there any explanation for the gas not working too?
