Alternate ending that got thrown out

This is according to the "spoiler" section on the IMDB page:

The creators of the film initially had an even darker ending in mind. Rocky (Jane Levy) was not supposed to make it out of the house. Instead, the Blind Man (Stephen Lang) locks her up in a cell, and even though the police come to investigate the burglary, they miss the door to her cell.

Even though this movie was riddled with "wtf?"s, it was the ending that was just unacceptable. With a thorough police investigation, there is no way that they wouldn't discover a 3rd person had been there, and that it had been Rocky. She gets tracked down, and The Blind Man goes to jail with her.

The writers blew a chance at a little bit of redemption with a more believable ending. Overall, a interesting concept, but executed terribly.

I am glad the creators did not go with this alternate ending. It would have totally sucked if Ricky did not make it out if the house. its fine just the way I saw it. I liked Rocky. She s Hot and she was trying to get out of an abused home which is even more of a reason to root for her. If she had not made it out of the house where would her little sister be? She would still be in that awful house. Leave it just way it is. But, I guess you could care less about the little sister

They should've went with the original ending. I hated Rocky.

how would they?

Also as the film stop s 1 or 2 days after the events in the house, and a police investigation (if they do one) would take weeks, how do we know they didn't find a third person was involved? Maybe thats in the sequel.

maybe not. the CSI effects, police don't investigate as thorough as they do on TV

they don't look for a crime unless they suspect one

What would have proven, or even suggested, a third person was there?

If you have a home robbery and kill the intruders, why would the police think you're lying when you say there were two?

What would a 'thorough police investigation' have shown?
