I'm a little disturbed by people who say they have no sympathy for the

thieves.

Granted, the thieves are terrible people and they deserved to be arrested and put in jail for awhile.

But just because you break into someone's house doesn't mean they're allowed to trap you in the house and hunt you down like an animal. That goes way beyond defending yourself and your home and into the homicidal maniac territory.

reply

Yep, it's very disturbing. Add to that, how people still managed to have any sympathy for the Blind Man even after the reveal halfway through.

reply

when he thawed the sperm & brought out the baster, i turned to my friend & whispered 'i love this guy.'

i am a terrible person, no question about it.

This is my happening and it freaks me out.

reply

i found all the characters (the blind mand and the thieves) almost equally measured portions of comptemptible and loveable, except for the cornrowed boyfriend, who i very much enjoyed despising every moment he was on the screen.

This is my happening and it freaks me out.

reply

Even he kinda redeemed himself by not ratting Rocky out and eating the bullet for her.

reply

Eating a bullet for her? What? She is a witness that he kidnapped a girl and murdered three people and tried to murder her. He covered his own ass.

reply

Lancerock was talking about how much he enjoyed despising Money, the corn-rowed a-hole boyfriend, and jackthehack made the point that he, Money, for all his idiotic faults, did cover for Rocky by not telling the Blind Man that he had company.

The Blind Man held his silence to plan the sequel. Given what he will learn about the two dead guys, and knowing Rocky's first name, it will only be a matter of time before he grabs a katana, has a flashback about being trained by an ancient blind Samurai, and boards a flight to Los Angeles.

"I like to watch."  Chauncey Gardiner, 'Being There'

reply

He was a typical young thug. His lines were predictable, and the role didn't require any acting. The character was a stereotype. Nothing original or interesting there.

reply

I agree with every line, although at the end after Alex was killed like a raccoon, i was hoping that it would be one of them hopeless-and-dark-kinda movies where just every one gets killed off, a la The Descent (good movie BTW).

I thought it would end either with her being torn apart by the dog in the car and with the dog bringing back the bag of money, "Ata boy", *door closes* *roll credits*, which would have been a brutal ending, or with her in chains caressing a curved belly with that broken empty look in her eyes and the Blind Man laughing like a madman with lightenings in the background casting his distorted shadow against the wall and illuminating his roadkill eyes, *cut to black*, which would have been a messed up ending too.

But I guess I'm satisfied with the one we got and the little twist at the end, which means that she might not get off scott-free as she hoped, which serves her well if you ask me.

Nobody should get to walk into the sunset with that amount of money-unless-it's-me-of-course*cough*.

7/10.

People who don't like their beliefs being laughed at shouldn't have such funny beliefs

reply

Those are great ideas for an ending, i would have enjoyed those endings lot more. Atta boy thanks for bringing back the loot or her in straps where the baster worked.
Its only now, everything else is a memory.

reply

i was hoping that it would be one of them hopeless-and-dark-kinda movies where just every one gets killed off, a la The Descent (good movie BTW).

The mother and daughter survived in the Descent. Remember? They ate yummy birthday cake in the cave.

I'm a real kewl kat.🐈

reply

 I know right? The perfect b-day party. In hell, where it should be.

People who don't like their beliefs being laughed at shouldn't have such funny beliefs

reply

I also thought we'd get the *9 months later* ending, and that would have been fine w/me. I like your endings better than the crappy one we got. I pretty much hate this movie b/c they wanted us to sympathize w/the thieves. I'm not doing that!

What can I say? I don't have much sympathy for thieves. They take their lives into their own hands when they break into homes to steal other people's hard earned money and belongings. If the homeowner shoots and kills you . . . I'm not sure what to say. I can't be mad at the homeowner for protecting their home and themselves.

reply

If you think Rocky and the Blind Man are as bad as each other you're *beep* disgusting. Keeping a woman locked in your basement and forcing her to carry your rape baby to term is unarguably worse than anything Rocky or her friend did. Cornrow guy was douche, but even he didn't do anything as bad as what the Blind Man did. Fix your *beep* moral compass you sick *beep*.

reply

when he thawed the sperm & brought out the baster, i turned to my friend & whispered 'i love this guy.'

i am a terrible person, no question about it.

lol. My brother and I started laughing at that scene, in a theater full of people. The sperm just took it to another level of baseness.

reply

lmfao I laughed out loud and yelled "WHAT THE F*%K AM I EVEN WATCHING?!"

I read this in a chola accent.

reply

when he thawed the sperm & brought out the baster, i turned to my friend & whispered 'i love this guy.'

The girl next to me in the cinema covered her eyes and refused to let go for a good five minutes.

She probably should have gone into the rom-com next door.

When darkness overcomes the heart, Lil' Slugger appears...

reply

Or maybe you should be more sympathetic of a girl who doesn't want to see another girl being raped, you sick fúck

reply

thought it was going to be another of those blind man bukkake films.

reply

Exactly. Money was an awful person, but Rocky was just trying to get money to help her little sister an try to get out of town quicker. And Alex was more just stupid doing it all to be around Alex but made sure that the group didn't go overboard.

Kind of laughed about how they made everyone in the movie outside them seem so horrible, like the blind man and the mom especially, but Money some too and the kidnapped girl, to make the, not seem so bad and able to root for them.

reply

@bangel144 It took you half way in the movie to realize the blind man was doing something wrong? Really? Reveal is at the beginning. It showed right at the beginning before movie really started with him dragging that women across town that he kept in the basement. I can't believe you did not catch that. It was the first scene of the movie. That actually gave it kind of away right there.

Not really knowing it was him until they showed his face but still, that is not half way in the movie. Why are people saying girl when it is clearly a women? Girls are 18 and younger and she was in her 20s.

Rated R Horror movies are better, no matter the argument.

reply

Yeah it's a little weird. Obviously at first you're going to have sympathy for the blind man. Then, once he starts viciously going after them and ESPECIALLY after the reveal, it's just another case of the main characters going somewhere they don't belong and trying to escape. Plus, honestly, the main girl was trying to get the money to save her disabled sister from a horrible life, and the blind man was just sitting on the money doing nothing with it anyway.

reply

So it's OK to break into a blind man's house and rob him? No way.

reply

If the alternative is being ok with kidnapping, rape and murder, yes i prefer breaking and entering.

and the blind man was just sitting on the money doing nothing with it anyway.

Back up. Are you saying that just because the blind man was sitting on his money, doing nothing with his money; that entitles someone else to it? Furthermore, that entitles someone to break into his property and steal his money? All because he's doing nothing with it, which he's allowed to do because the money is his property?

Huh.

Logan, buddy. It's me, Deadpool! I shot youuuuuu....

reply

I'm not saying it entitles them to it. But in the context of this film, the main girl was legitimately and rightfully trying to get her sister(?) out of that horrible situation and on to a better life. The old man turned out to be a murdering psychopath who was sitting on a couple million dollars that was quite literally either going to be left untouched forever, or just go back to the bank after he died if the money was eventually found. The money went to a better cause.

reply

They came into his house with a loaded gun and told him they would shoot him if he did not comply; he had every right to kill them at that point because his life was on the line as far as he knew, plus, again, a loaded gun was pointed at him.

Remember when he asked how many? As far as he knew they all had weapons and were intent on killing him.

They chose the wrong mark, there were multiple warnings, the fact that he was a war veteran, the dog, the size of the man...they screwed up. He is a trained killer, and successful as he survived, WTF were they thinking? Everything about him said don't screw with me.

"This is What You Want... This is What You Get"

reply

I'm more referring to the fact that he was a sick *beep* tying a woman up in his basement and injecting her with sperm, and quite capable of doing it again when the first one went awry.

reply

Or maybe he was saving his money for his turkey baste baby he made to replace his dead daughter.

reply

If she needed money she could get a job, like everyone else. By the same logic the actions of the blind man were justified for his daughter's death.

reply

She needs money so she should get a job is in the same logic pool as his daughter died in a car accident so he should imprison and impregnate the woman who killed her? Da fuq?

Also, if you don't understand that a most likely uneducated, poor woman from the slums of Detroit can't just afford to get some random job and make enough to support taking her sister and moving away with her, then....
She doesn't *deserve* the money, but in the end the money was being stashed away by a psychopath, so she's better off with it with the child.

reply

Agreed

reply

If she needed money she could get a job, like everyone else.

THANK YOU!! What is up w/this idea that it was okay for Rocky to break into other people's home and steal their stuff because she needed to take care of her sister?!?!! Get a job, Rocky! Like the rest of the law-abiding community! Ugh! I can't express how much I hate that she got away w/the money. It really ticks me off!

reply

No, she couldnt. Just like you wont be able to in a few years. Job market is shrinking. Requiring a job to afford not starving is going to be impossible pretty soon.

reply

You obviously don't know how logic works. Or morality.

reply

In the context of the film I don't think Rocky deserved the money either. You have to remember she is a repeat offender, she has robbed people on more than one occasion and I'm pretty sure most if not all of them (other than the blind man) were not criminal psychopaths. Who's to say she won't try and do it again once the blind man's money runs dry? She didn't have any other job, she literally makes a living robbing people who are more fortunate than her. Just because the money belonged to a kidnapping psychopath doesn't mean it would be better off in hers.

reply

Well she's seen literally taking her damaged little sister out of town to a presumably better future with a couple mil in the bank, so let's give her the benefit of the doubt lol.

reply

So for example if I have disabled broder or sister, I have a right to rob a bank? If I pick right one? Simply have to find a bank with owner who has some sort of bad past/publicity?

reply

It wasnt his money.

------------------------------------------------
The spirit of abysmal despair

reply

Disabled? And couldn't she have taken the sister and got a job... Like everyone else. Moved out?

reply

I never said disabled? Sure she could technically move out with the sister, but first of all they'd be living in the same crap conditions they started in and secondly the mother and step father could probably find them if they stayed anywhere in the area. The point was to take that money and get the hell out of dodge and give them a good life. And again, yeah she doesn't deserve the money and what she initially did with robbing people and him is obviously wrong, but when all is said and done let the girl who is trying to give her little sister a better life have the money over a psycho who impregnates women and stores them in his basement.

reply

You have to remember this is the internet so most of those comments are dick sizing and are being typed by dumbass teenagers trying to seem "badass bro" acting as if sympathizing with a murderer is the norm and nothing phases them. Its akin to someone saying "oh yeah I watch beheading videos before bed while eating spaghetti and meatballs" to try and show what a tough guy they are.

reply

I literally was eating a bowl of chili the first time I watched Hellbound: Hellraiser 2. Big mistake.

reply

I eat when watching beheadings and stuff all the time. I assuming the other guy wasn't on about real life beheading.

I don't give a f*@K about a troll who doesn't pay for his opinion telling me how to review movies.

reply

Oh come on Hellraiser, as much as i love them, are peanuts in terms of gut wrenching. Try Revolver, Sebian film, Salo or Martys. Now that one is fun to watch while eating.

reply

I'm 38 and have 4 years of military and 16 working in law enforcement myself. I have no problem with the guy killing people that came into his home to rob him and threatening his life at gunpoint. As law enforcement, I would do my job in bringing this man to justice, as I do my job, but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't sympathize with the blind man. I think the loss of his daughter, who possibly was the only person he loved set over the edge. His broken mind told him that she could be replaced, because that is what the mind often does in times of great peril. It tells us what we want to hear. I think she should suffer at his hands since the courts didn't think that she should pay for her actions. I won't watch a movie with Rebecca Gayheart in it, even though I liked Urban Legend a lot, because she got away scott free of killing a young boy.

For those unfamiliar...The ex-Beverly Hills, 90210 actress was cruising through Hollywood on June 13 in a friend's '96 Jeep Grand Cherokee when she struck 9-year-old Jorge Cruz Jr. as he walked across the street.

While several cars stopped to let him go, Gayheart allegedly swerved around the traffic and into a two-way left-turn lane, hitting the boy. The child was taken to L.A.'s Children's Hospital where he died the next day.

She got community service and a suspended license. The boy got a grave. That doesn't equal out. If that kid's mother kidnapped and tortured her, I would applaud............

reply

16 years in law enforcement? It's cops that think like you that give police a bad name.

Im scared to know that people like you are supposed to uphold the law.

The spirit of abysmal despair

reply

I'm scared to know that people like you exist. I suppose if you had a daughter/son/sister/brother/lover killed and the killer just went free, you would not want that person to pay for the crime. Maybe that will work out for you. I do what the law says. I do not bend or break because of personal beliefs, but that doesn't mean that I do not have my own opinions. You judge me, but I do no crimes. I do not drink, smoke, nor do any drugs.

Maybe you are a Casey Anthony sympathizer and think it is cool that she murdered her daughter so she could go out partying more. Maybe you love the idea that she got that Bella Vita (Beautiful Life) tattoo after she murdered her daughter or that she paid for her attorney with sex. It's all good though. She takes good care of her beloved Yorkshire Terrier at her home in West Palm Beach, Florida these days. Justice at its finest.

Unfortunately, some people don't understand that.

haha no you wouldn't...you don't believe in guns

reply

Plus, honestly, the main girl was trying to get the money to save her disabled sister from a horrible life, and the blind man was just sitting on the money doing nothing with it anyway.

Seriously. Whether he was doing something with the money or not, it was his money. He won the money in a settlement. And a blind man injured while serving our country will have expenses. I can't remember if he got the money from his accident or from a settlement from his daughter being killed. Either way, it was HIS MONEY. If someone broke into your house and stole your money would it be okay since they needed it to help someone in their family. How about a find a way to make the money legally.

reply

You're right that stealing is wrong. The illustration of their motivations isn't to excuse them but show that they are horrible to the core. As for the blind guy, his military service and personal tragedies became irrelevent after kidnapping/forced insemination. I can't think of any service members who would spare any leniency for a fellow serviceman guilty of his crimes.

reply

Funny how anyone with a gun to protect their family is a "nut", and we know you're not just talking about the tiny number of idiots who WANT to use theirs against a human being.

What does that make someone who would rather put themselves and their family in the hands of a criminal, just hoping they are going to steal stuff and not rape and murder your family, or that a cop will magically get there in time to stop it?

I call the first being prepared and realistic.

I call the second someone living in fantasy land.

But, hey. If you want the lives of you and your family to depend on a phone call and several minutes of response time, that's your choice. Assuming anyone who wants to be able to protect their family is a "nut" is just stupid.

reply

In most states, it is legal to shoot intruders in your house. Learn the law.

Shooting an intruder is one thing, keeping someone hostage is another.

You keep on reminding me of a darkness only I can see

reply

Just because something is legal doesn't make it right.

We're allowed to morally disagree with a law that we think is messed up and backwards.

You shouldn't be allowed to take a life because someone trespasses on your property. That's not equal or just, this isn't the 1700s or some *beep* We're civilized. If you want to deal with every sort of altercation between two people like an animal, move out into the woods.

reply

Youre such an idiot. Once someone breaks into my home I am going to kill them, gleefully. I have a little girl. No one is raping my kid. Id rather they break into your house and have fun with you, since you feel so badly for them

reply

Youre such an idiot. Once someone breaks into my home I am going to kill them, gleefully.

Then the only proper place for you to live in is a mental institution.

------------------------------------------------
The spirit of abysmal despair

reply

I like how you say:

"No one is raping my kid"

But it's OK for the blind guy to kidnap/impregnate the woman who killed his daughter (yeah ok he did it with the turkey baster for her but it's still forcibly penetrating her) and then with Rocky he was going to actually rape her after he dragged her back to his house.

Rocky and the other 2 were wrong to break into his house and rob him-I know that and you know that but the fact of the matter is he went beyond protecting his home/money/himself.

She got out and he went after her. He locked everything down so they couldn't escape so he wasn't in fear of his life at that point. If he wanted, he could have left it alone once she escaped but he didn't want that because then his crimes would come to light. He could have called the police but he locked the doors and he killed both guys and took Rocky so he could get back what he lost.

I'm not delusional, what Rocky and the guys did was definitely wrong but he went further than protection. Rocky should have gone to jail and definitely doesn't deserve *beep* If i wanted anyone of the three to live it should have been Alex-he was just a dumbass kid thinking with his dick but he made the choice to enter the home just the same. I can understand the guy shooting Rocky's douche boyfriend (at that point it's a little questionable because he's no longer a threat on the ground like he is-but the old guy doesn't know if there are more threats so ok i'll give you that), maybe even Alex (but even then the guy was already going too far-he should have called police after killing Rocky's boyfriend it would have only taken a minute and then he could have holed himself up in a bedroom or bathroom with the gun for protection as he waited for police but again he didn't want them to take his replacement baby) also when he killed Alex the kid was already beaten to *beep* and near unconscious. But even at the time he killed Alex the kid was no longer a threat, the old man could have called the police but then he would not be able to keep his crimes hidden. When Rocky got out he tracked her down and dragged her back to his house; that is no longer any kind of lawful/moral/whatever-it was wrong and evil.

I get where people say Rocky and the guys are wrong but so was the Old Man-I'll give you Rocky's boyfriend but the other 2 (3 if you count the girl who killed his daughter) were not justifiable.

Also Mr. Police Officer you scare me; thinking it's ok for Blind Guy to kidnap and impregnate the woman who killed his daughter. Yes the courts failed him by her getting off so easy but what he did is not OK!!! This isn't the bible (an eye for an eye). If you are trying to go with the whole eye for an eye it would've been better if he had simply killed her but he didn't, he decided to replace his daughter with a new baby; that's not the same thing-and the whole 9 months in captivity thing and the impregnating DISGUSTING and CREEPIFYING.

Being legal does not make it moral.

True story

JACKSON, MI – The last time someone broke into Richard Snyder's Jackson home, the perpetrator beat him, leaving him with fractured cheek bones and bruised ribs.

This time, Snyder shot at the intruders who broke down his front door early Sunday, July 17.

"His life was in danger," said Snyder's son, Joseph Snyder, 34, as he stood in the yard outside the house they share on N. Waterloo Street, south of Ganson Street.

Richard Snyder, who was not hurt, was too "nerved up" to speak to a reporter Sunday morning about the shooting, reported about 2 a.m. "He's shaken up from it, like any person would be," his son said.

reply

[deleted]

I had absolutely no sympathy for the first guy to get killed. I was rooting for the blind guy at that point. But I started rooting for the others as the film went on.

reply

Exactly.

🐺 Boycott movies that involve real animal violence (& their directors) 🐾

reply

Meh they were all seriously badly shaped characters. And it was clear from the beginning the girl was going to be the focus and would be the only one alive - how? She was the only one with a backstory, we didn't know *beep* about those two guys.

The first guy could've had that crappy attitude as a front because his father beat him to a pulp all his life and he's lashing out now. He's struggling to make as much money as possible to save his abused mom and move somewhere and go to college to be some banker or something. Very possible.

He wasn't even that horrible, it was all a mask which was clear when push came to shove - he hid the fact that there were others in the house and couldn't force himself to actually shoot the old man.

I had no sympathy for the old man from the moment he killed the first guy. His crime was too small for such punishment.

reply

If people break into my house, they're fair game. No sympathy here.

reply

Wow. I can't believe people on here who feel bad for the thieves. Are you the same idiots who throw the homeowner in jail after some robber comes in to his house and gets shot. A holes.

reply

There's a difference between shooting an invader because you fear for your life and locking people inside your house so you can hunt and gun them down at your leisure.

reply

If those people tried to rob you, there is no difference.

I don't give a f*@K about a troll who doesn't pay for his opinion telling me how to review movies.

There is in the eyes of the law. Shooting someone is only allowed for self defense, and locking someone inside your house isn't self defense. It's the opposite.

reply

Then the law is insane.

I don't give a f*@K about a troll who doesn't pay for his opinion telling me how to review movies.

Killing people in self-defence is not insane. Enjoying killing and torturing people who are not threatening your life is insane.

No, you're the one insane.

reply

Nope, that would be you. Try again.

I don't care about a troll who doesn't pay for his opinion telling me how to review movies.

So you should be allowed to trap them inside and shoot them for funsies?

It isn't self defense at that point. It's just plain murder. You aren't doing it out of self defense or fear. You're doing it because you're a maniac who wants to kill someone.

reply

You're forgetting one simple thing.......when he locked down his house he thought he was alone since Money told him he broke in by himself. He had no idea how many people were in his house and i wouldn't exactly accuse the blind man of hunting anyone down considering he couldn't tell how many people he was going up against OR if they were armed.

WHAT DID THE FIVE FINGERS SAY TO THE FACE?

reply

That's not the same thing as trapping someone in your house so they can't leave and hunting them down. That isn't self defense.

reply
