Haven't watched colony - but definitely The Expanse!
But - I enjoyed Dark Matter very much - it is a shame this got cancelled and Killjoys survived.
I have not finished Expanse yet but I do like it. I have seen enough of Colony to know how I feel. So given this partial exposure ...

So true. Lots of things still to be fleshed out. Added to the long list of criminally cancelled shows. It is nice to think that it could come back in this modern day of old-show pick-ups.
shareI would take a movie, but prefer a short season to complete the series. So many questions and such a good cast with great chemistry.
shareYeah, Dark Matter is the best one IMO. The Expanse clearly had more money but Dark Matter had better characters.
shareThe Expanse is by far the better I thought, though I enjoyed Dark Matter as well, it has been 7 years I hope you saw both and enjoyed them since.
shareI liked this one the most. With Expanse i was bored a lot and did not like characters.
It was sad when this one was cancelled.
