So was season 2 worth it? *spoilers*

So I posted on here a few months ago and since the show took a few steps I wasnt happy about I boycotted the show after 4 episodes and decided to wait until the end.

So my question: is the second season worth watching? A few things I was annoyed with was the death of 1 and not knowing if his story got resolved, the expanding crew as I felt it worked fine with 6 individuals, pretty much every back story of the characters...are any of these talked about it resolved?

Now Before anyone says "watch the season"...i did try watching 4 to 5 episodes and didn't feel like they offered anything to the show, plus don't really wanna waste my time on a show that doesn't close out there back stories.

There were a few stand alone episodes that were decent, otherwise i don't think you should expect it to get better, especially if you didn't like the first 4-5 episodes of season two. At least that is my opinion, i thought they were going in too many directions and exploring different plotlines

I feel the series needs way more cohesiveness and camaraderie within the Raza crew...Do You Agree? The all looked so depressed

If you didn't like the first episodes, I doubt you'd like the remainder. There were quite a few storylines going on, and not all of them have been resolved yet. And the season ended with a huge cliffhanger.

I love the show, but if the first 4 eps didn't do it for you then methinks the rest won't either so why watch'm

What you COULD do is just watch the finale. If it fills you with awe then watch the middle eps to see how they got there. If it fills you with bile then cross Dark Matter off your to-watch list.

At this point, I'm invested in the cast and their stories, so while some complain that this season was either lacking or all over the place, I think they are just setting up ideas to further expand the show for future seasons. Me thinks the next season will be back up to par.

Just a theory, but worth pointing out, nonetheless.

The start of Season 2 pretty much tells the tale. If you liked it, there's more of it in the episodes you didn't watch. If you didn't like it then you're unlikely to like the rest.

Personally, I liked it. It's hard not have a sophomore slump and I thought the story-telling was pretty good. Having come from many of the same production team that did Lost Girl where dropping huge, cringe-inducing plotholes was regular fare, I think so far they have done a good job of telling their story.

They've made the mistake of getting rid of interesting standalones in order to service an overall season/series arc and the show could do with a bit more humor, but the arc is interesting and I got hooked into the characters so I'll be hanging out to see where it ends up. I do

I'm telling you, it the Lando!

I think it's worth it for the Three and Five moments alone, but that's just me.
I always liked his character!!

I was carefully hopeful about season 2 and I've now seen episodes 1-5 but nothing remotely interesting happens. Well, I guess the prison at the beginning of the season was a nice change of environment, but now they're back at the ship and things are steering back to usual boring stuff. I didn't particularly like the show in it's first season, but I gave it some slack because we've seen some horrible first seasons, while the second season is usually better. But...

Five, Three and the Android are decent and amusing characters in their own rights, but otherwise this whole show just doesn't vibe. If only they got rid of everyone else and made a show about these three and their idiosyncrasies.

Basically Dark Matter has all the ingredients, but it's run of the mill cheap syfy triviality. There's no personality or passion, Dark Matter is a pale rehash of things done so much better before (Farscape, Firefly).

I tried, but I think I call it quits now, after season 2 episode 5. Not my cup of tea.

It really is not. It got pretty unbearable early on, and never improved. After season 1 I was really hopeful, but it seems SyFy has cursed yet another original idea with terrible writers.

This is simply wrong.

I did not like the whole premise of S02E06 We Should Have Seen This Coming.

Other than that, season two was fine.
