One/Season Two

There might be other threads that touch on this, but I’m not going to delve too deep since I’m not completely caught up to the third season:

I know some people liked One, but in my opinion they made the right decision in killing him off. As a character he came across as extremely whiney, and I don’t think it’s because he was the most morally upright member of the crew, but more of the actor’s portrayal of the character. On a personal level, I couldn’t stand his face. His evil counterpart Jace was almost worse, so I really think it was the actor and not the character/characters.

With that said, I have to say I’m pretty happy I stuck it out through the first season and gave the second season a chance because it got exponentially better, not that the first season was bad. I’m only on eps. 3 or 4 of the second season but I hope it continues to hold the same trajectory.

I’m also glad they added some new characters to the crew, but I’m a little skeptical about Nyx. I think the actress is just fine, but how many super-soldier/assassin characters do we need? I mean we already have the genetically augmented lead with all-healing/protecting nanos in her system… how about another character that is more grounded in reality rather than another tired rehash of Jason Bourne. Gah.
