Let me get on the shallow horse and ride, Nyx is finer than a mug. Amazingly hot, kicks ass, I'm really hoping she has a future on a great show. To add, I'm glad the writers had her and 4 gettin some good love. I really assumed they were gonna make 6 and her the couple du jour, which would've been boring. Alos, while I would hate it if she was killed off in a season finale, it would be an disheartening inclusion, but, like Game of Thrones in regards to killing off an unexpected major character, would make the show even more impressive. The future shall tell.

She is good looking, a very different kind of good looking against 2 and 4. The first couple of episodes I just didn't pay close attention to her because I thought she wouldn't be sticking around. I think she has a great smile.

I looked at Melanie Liburd's profile and saw this "She is half Kittitian, half English". And I thought it said half kitten at first and thought, aww cute. Then wait, did I wake up in an anime universe? The things that pop into your head before your morning coffee. If she makes it to next season or not, hopefully she'll continue to get bigger and better roles in the future.

It takes a wee bit more than just looks to be a good actor. Personally I prefer two and five to Nyx. The acting on the show isn't super good, but it's good enough. When they got rid of one I was actually very happy because he was by far the weakest actor on the show at that point. He just felt so out of place. My favorite character on the show so far is three. He has pretty good comic timing, one can only assume he's there for the comedy relief factor but over time it seems he's actually a very good shot.

Any words on a third season? I'm kinda worried because I'm not seeing a third season on imdb so it's safe to assume we won't be seeing one? It's a shame really because I do enjoy the show. I like the dark and gritty characters that aren't afraid to do what's necessary. Usually with shows like this the characters are just too "goody two shoes" and that annoys me. It just makes me a happy to see some producers willing to create more "realistic" characters.

Maybe 1 felt out of place cause his character was kind if the gold fish in the shark tank? A millionaire on board with merceneries?

I suspect it is one of those, "I don't like the actor because I don't like the character," reactions. I see it on IMDB for many shows and movies.

The acting was fine. Many people just didn't like that he was goody goody all the time.

kind of a goody-goody myself, i liked the actor and the character. i was sad that he died, especially in such an abrupt way, without resolving his storyline. but at the same time, all shows end up short-changing someone and in dark matter's case, it was kind of refreshing that the one they did it to was the noble straight white guy. in any other show, he would have had plot armor and he would have survived to the end.

Ahh. I don't think the problem was he was too goody goody. There are a lot of goody goody characters I have liked in movies and TV shows and the problem for me was he came across as boring and his character wasn't given an important enough role to get the position he had which looked to be second to Melissa (Two).

Six is a goody goody in some ways too and I always liked him more.

I really liked the addition of NYX in Season 2 and felt she was a far better character than One but sadly the actress has announced she won't be returning as a regular next season so I am not sure what the future holds for Nyx now and I am hoping they let her return in some capacity.😞

Our only hope is they put her in the freezing chamber and she is there all next season(which could make sense to cut costs)otherwise she is dead.
