A question about the unusual cinematography/shot composition...
There's an unwritten rule in cinematography that, during a conversation, if a character is on the left of the screen he/she will face toward the right, and vice versa. But this series eschews that convention for some reason. A character on the left of the screen faces left, leaving a huge void on the right, which is so unusual. It's hard for me to put into words so I've included screenshots to illustrate what I'm talking about:

Why does this series do this? What is it supposed to mean? Are there other movies or series that do this?
