Interracial sex, lots of ethnic diversity, gay relationships and bars

Yep, Mr Robot and its liberal agenda is back.

reply

Reality has a liberal bias. Get used to it.

One of the members of the team was a musse, last season right?

reply

She's not wearing her Hijab in the final scene.

reply

Your being muslim isn't determined or dependent on wearing a hijab.

reply

lol so true! Never heard that one before:
: )

This guy is a troll. He regularly does the same thing on other boards. The Affair is one that I recall quite well, --same old stuff, posts are brief and "innocent' in their delivery.

Someone should start a thread about people who literally get off on trolling. That's much more disturbing and salacious than "the liberal agenda" of interracial sex, ethnic diversity, gay relationships and bars...whatever that means.

Haha.

No it doesn't.

Now that leftists have the power you ban any speech that tramples over leftist ideology (which always happens when leftist ideologies take hold).

Sounds awesome.

Interracial sex - so edgy you guys. What's next, interracial MARRIAGE? So liberal, and ergo, wrong.

The liberal agenda is bringing to our attention the idea that money and capitalism are the root of evil. So, in Elliott trying to destroy that system, he's far from right-leaning.

However, I think it does well to balance this in the season two opener by showing that in destroying the Bank of E's records, they also destroyed evidence that at least one woman had paid part (or all?) of her mortgage if I'm not mistaken. Their good deed went punished. In their minds the ends may still be worth the means, though.

The OP's comments about including racial diversity, gay relationships, and bars (?), however, do not point to a liberal agenda.

These elements are overly prevalent and thus do represent an agenda.

reply

I suggest you go visit a big city like the one this takes place in.

reply

I live in London.

reply

May I ask what you enjoy about the show and why you watch it?

reply

Season 1 was excellent, hence why I am watching it.

reply

I am happy you enjoyed it, maybe you can fast forward through the scenes that you don't want to see? Either by recording it or if you have a DVR? Obviously, none of us are going to change your mind or your beliefs - you have a right to your own beliefs even if many of us don't agree. I can understand we all have different belief systems and have a right to them and I have no right to be critical of your personal belief system. This is the only solution I can offer you, because the show isn't going to change. I would say your only option would be avoiding watching the scenes you find offensive.

Let me help you out since I actually live in the city that the show you're watching for entertainment, from your couch in London, is set in. I see interracial couples, lots of ethnic diversity, some gay couples and lots of bars regularly. This isn't because it's a liberal agenda- it's called reality.

Here's what NYC looks like:

2010 census population (rank): 8,175,133 (1); Male: 3,882,544 (47.5%); Female: 4,292,589 (52.5%); White: 3,597,341 (44.0%); Black: 2,088,510 (25.5%); American Indian and Alaska Native: 57,512 (0.7%); Asian: 1,038,388 (12.7%); Other race: 1,062,334 (13.0%); Two or more races: 325,901 (4.0%); Hispanic/Latino: 2,336,076 (28.6%)

There's something singularly odd about a non-New Yorker (who doesn't even live here) lecturing on what New York is, what New Yorkers look like, how many bars we have (a ton) and who we have sex with.

reply

Bar(s)?

Bars?

What the hell offends you about bars?

Did a bar murder your father and mother as they left of showing of Zorro at the local (community) theater?

Did a bar beat you up and steal your milk money?

Perhaps a bar spied on your wife as she bathed in the moonlight. Did King Bar then try to cover impregnating your wife by insisting that you immediately come home from battle and sleep with her yourself? Naturally this insidious ploy didn't work. King Bar then sent you to the vanguard ensuring that you would be slain in battle. Tragic. Truly.

Anyway, you have my deepest condolences. Sounds like you've lived through countless tragedies that most couldn't fathom.

"You dropped your forgiveness."

reply

Gay bars. Nothing offends me about them but homosexuality is something that has had far too much prevalence in this show, and this was another example.

reply

That is true there is like 6 minutes of gay stuff in the 600 minutes or so of the show. They totally are trying to turn us into homosexuals.

reply

You're just making things up.

[deleted]

The liberal agenda in this show is forced. Case in the point, the hacker leader who turned out to be a transsexual. That's not indicative of a diverse global population, it's simply ramming an agenda down one's throat.

reply

None of this has anything to do with what I said. Debate the subject matter instead of making childish ad hominems in future please.

reply

Cjd, your post is one of the main reasons I continue to wad through the nonsense that is 90% of forum comments online. So well said.

Thanks. Keeps one hopeful people aren't all brainless dicks.

His nonsensical preaching had absolutely nothing to do with the issues I raised in this topic.

reply

The only nonsense I see is your relentless trolling here.

Maybe gay relationships, but interacial relationships are nothing new. What rock have you been living under, I see black and white couples every day.
