Just realized, when Tony told Rocket he thought he was a "Build-a-Bear," Rocket's immediate response was "maybe I am."

Rocket understands what a Build-a-Bear is (and he kind of is one, having been "stuffed" with cybernetics).

That means Build-a-Bear stores are known across at least two galaxies. Most likely along with magnet stores and Bath & Bodyworks.

Well, even if one has never heard of them, "build a bear" can be understood without context. It sounds like either a toy bear, or just in general a fake bear.

Nope - started in 1997

I think jakemon45 just meant that, after 3 years with Quill, Rocket has learned to accept or ignore Terran pop culture references
