Since it was taken from and given back to The Ancient One in 2012 in essentially a different timeline, Doctor Strange's is still destroyed right? I'm pretty sure it is, but I'm just asking for clarification.
Yeah, I get the feeling the next Dr Strange will deal with the fallout of the Stones being destroyed. Ancient One even said that the Stones need to exist, otherwise, the universe is in trouble.
Dormammu could be really formidable. Since he wasn't the main baddie though I get why he'd be forgotten. I'll never get over Quicksilver though. He shouldn't have died and he would've been a great addition to the Avengers.
The Time Stone isn't preventing Dormammu from attempting to invade Earth. Dormammu gave Dr. Strange his word that he would not invade Earth and that he would remove his zealots if Strange would release him from the Time Loop.
The real question is why was Dormammu not able to destroy the time stone or is it that he would have been trying to destroy the very concept of time? How was Thanos able to destroy any of the stones or did he merely atomize them and they now have to be reformed just as the Ether was atomized and then reformed into a stone or ingot.
I know the time stone wasn't preventing Dormammu from invading, but when it existed it made it impossible for him to get through Strange in order to invade at all so he backed off. Now that Strange can't stick him in a time loop anymore it would be the perfect time for him to try and invade.
I imagine Strange had a spell protecting the time stone like he did when Ebony Naw tried to take it in Infinity War so Dormammu wouldn't even be able to get the stone to destroy it.
