It's weird now that they made a Captain Marvel movie as she wasn't that important.
They should have made an Adam Warlock movie and stuck the source material.
I think the whole Captain Marvel movie was just a big fat red herring so that audiences expected her to be the hero and savior. They even used the cross imagery when she first came out in front of the spaceship.
I think they succeded. The twist was real and when Doctor Strange nodded to Iron Man people were like what, whattt? wtf, no Tony you gonna dieeeee... and then he died. This is how you send off a character!
