3000 meaning? - Avengers: Endgame (2019) Discussion

When Tony puts his daughter to bed, they both say "I love you" to each other. Tony's daughter (Morgan) though says "I love you 3000." It's then brought up again at the end of the movie. But with the emotional use of "I love you 3000" at the ending is probably what everyone is making a reference to more than when Morgan actually says it earlier in the movie.

I understood it as the biggest number a very small child could imagine/think of. It had no meaning other than being cute.

He said, "I love you tons" first. I took it as a ton is 2,000 lbs, so she was showing how clever she was, and upped it to 3,000, not entirely understanding. I might be wrong, but that's how i took it.

I also haven't seen the movie, what's the deal with these infinity stones? What are they? Whose the purple guy on the poster? I've seen people posting about an Iron Man, is there like a metal man in this? What's the deal with everyone mentioning Avengers? Does someone avenge something? Is someone or something avenged? If this is the Endgame when did the game begin? I'd really like to know what everyone's talking about but I'm not gonna watch the film. Just answer the questions please. Thanks.

It's an imaginative mash-up of Ted Hughe's Iron Giant Vs the Avengers where John Steel and Emma Peel seek to recover the stone's of British Crown Jewels. It's been animated by Ardman and features guest appearances of all thier previous characters.

I heard it's in reference to the Ironman 3000 inversion table. Yes that's a real thing (Google it), however I don't have any evidence that's the case (not sure why a piece of fitness equipment would be easter egged).
