That was the main thing that bothered me. She should have returned with the remnants the Nova Corps to avenge the attack on Xandar. Plus, it would have been more acceptable that they help destroy Thanos’ ship.

In Infinity War it was declared that Xandar was destroyed by Thanos and then the very few who could have survived Thanos' attack were snapped (half of them I mean). So I don't think they could have made a new and efficient Nova Corps in 5 years. However, even if they were able to form a new Nova Corps, Do you think Captain Marvel, who probably was not near Xandar, had time to go there and convince them to help? By the time they were able to get to Earth, everything would have been ended for good or evil.
It already was a stretch that not only the people that was just unsnaped were ready to fight in less than 10 minutes from returning but that the Wakandians, Asgardians and others fighers were so organized in so little time. Yes, the scene looked Amazing and Epic, but the logistics of it makes no sense...
Yes, THAT Nova Corps. Thanos “Decimated” Xandar. He did not destroy the planet. As per usual, he would have let half live. Then the snap, then 5 years to build it up a bit.
I’m not talking about the whole fleet from Guardians. I’m talking about whatever they could spare. Would be a much better explanation instead of Captain Marvel just saving the day with her Superman powers
