If Endgame was released in December i'm pretty sure it would crush Avatar like a bug but if it makes anything between 1.1 and 1.2 billion by the end of the Week, it Will come very closr

as of right now...the Math says Endgame Will top Avatar....

Now, thats not a prediction, Its simply a forecast based on the current results...

Endgame is set to have a Global debut of 1.1 B+....If we then apply IW's multiplier to Endgame....it results in a total gross over 2.7 Billion +

Obviously its still way to earlier to know for sure if Endgame can Match or exceed Avatar, but we at least know Its possible and as of right now is actually on pace to....

for me personally, I have to Problem saying Endgame will at least make 2.5 Billion....

The Force Awakens Domestic record is also in Play for Endgame as Well...

With a 350 M+ OW....The Floor Domestically seems to be around 800 Million....

But With Endgames reviews and WOM resulting in the very RARE A+ cinemascore....we have to assume LEGS and Holds are going to be good(although Its truly impossible to predict the holds for Endgame because No film in History has come close to the Opening its having, given the Massive Opening, A 60% drop Next week could actually Be GREAT)....But overall I think Endgame is going to have Great holds which could put the domestic record in play as well

I see a misunderstanding of how Avatar made its money. You just can't apply these metrics to it. Avatar had incredibly strong holds because of its word of mouth appeal. Also it wasn't just catering to CBM fans who invested in the universe. It catered to everybody. If you're not familiar with the MCU then you're going to miss out on half of Endgame.

Also lets not forget how Infinity War's ending proved to us all that we need to see these movies early or we risk having it spoiled for us if we wait a week. Avatar didn't have that problem. So pretty much everything points to heavy early performance with this that absolutely should beat Avatar. But later on... no.

not trying to be mean...but I think you are misunderstanding ...

Im in no way comparing Endgame to Avatar

I'm comparing Endgame to Infinity War.....

The Math Im talking about when I say "EG is on pace to match or exceed Avatar...Is Infinity Wars Multiplier"

Endgame Is set to make 1.1 B+ on opening weekend....

If Endgame then JUST performs like Infinity War through its entire run....That would result in 2.7 B+ in Box office....

Avatar opened in December and had Legs so astonishing they arent even comparable...I'm in no way comparing EG to Avatar at all.....

I'm only talking "MULTIPLIER" here

MCU films usually have X2 or More Multipliers

Infinity War had a X2.4

Meaning Infinity War opened to 640 M and ended up making 2 B+ which is a X2.4 Multiplier...

If Endgame followed IWs same Multiplier then Avatar Box office is coming.

Now Its entirely possible Endgame could have a smaller multiplier, Given its Unearthly Grosses, were simply in uncharted territory here....

But given The absolutely excellent reviews and confirmation of the RARE A+ Cinemascore....I got to say Theres Literally NOTHING Pointing to a "heavy early performance and then falls off" like your saying

I truly have no clue how you could come to the conclusion "everything points" to that...when Literally NOTHING points to it and actually Its the exact opposite.

again I want to make it clear...I do not KNOW how EG will perform going forward....NO One could really give anything but a Guess because at this point There is NOTHING to base a prediction on when it comes EGs future run

But If you were going to try and make a prediction....all you can do is look at the facts and the History of Previous movies....and those facts ALL Universally say EG should have Good Holds....When a film has the reviews,ratings and WOM that EG has....They Usually ALL POINTS to Great Holds

honestly other than you Just saying "Well It opened so big its GOT to have a Huge drop" I have no idea what you could be looking at when you say "everything point to Heavy Performance Early on and then It falls off"

I cant say for sure whats going to happen, But I can at least say and HAVE THE FACTS behind me "everything points to EG SHOULD have Great Holds"

EG has the stats and Consensus behind it that Historically Results in Great Legs.....but again we dont know If those rules will apply to EG....

I guess my real problem with what your saying is....

its just factually incorrect...Your more than within your right to feel EG with gonna open HUGE and then fall off.....but to state "every thing Points to that" Is honestly just completely not True.

and you could be right....Its entire possible EG could fall off....but

A. we dont know that, No one could possibly know how EG is going to perform in the coming weeks

and B. even if you are right and EG does fall off...It wont be because "everything Points it"...If EG falls off It will actually be "In Spite" of Great reviews and Great WOM that should suggest Great HOLDS

hope you understand what I'm saying....

no comparison to Avatar were being made...ONLY taking applying IWs Multiplier to EG....

and I just think you are WRONG about saying "everything Point to" EG falling off....

I'm not saying it falls off in the sense it didn't live up to expectations. What I'm saying is Infinity War was the catalyst for proving that people need to see these movies early or they will get spoiled.

Many suspected it for Infinity War but some didn't.

Thanks to Infinity War everybody and their mother knows they have to see this early or they risk having it spoiled.

Thats where these early numbers are coming from.

Maybe it maintains Infinity War's holds week after week but I suspect it will come short by a slight margin. How much will that effect its total WW I can't say for sure. I'm still guessing somewhere in that 2.2-2.4b range.

this isnt true...

and its not true because EG is coming In WAY higher than IW...

If you were right...If the people that saw IW is the reason why their a rush to see the movie....we would be seeing similar results as IW....

IW had 257 Million worth of audiences on OW....If Those people were the reason for The HUGE opening weekend because of the RUSH to see it....EG would have opened nearly identical

EG opening nearly 100 M more Proves theres a completely NEW audience seeing This film...

EG Opened higher than IW in every market that it opened in...In every country and territory....

That Proves while the core Base is still there, EG is also getting a completely New Audience....

EG is being seen an the movie event for a generation, That is clearly bringing in an Audience that may not have even seen IW or many MCU films

The Marvel Base doesnt actually make the Majority of The audiences that sees these movies....The Majority is the general Public...most of which are Parents taking their Kids...

Its clear Based on The excellent Reviews, INSANE WOM , Incredible marketing campaign and 11 Year History of the MCU films....This film is the Ultimate 4 Quadrant film that has Appealed to The Most Audience in history....To simply say "these early numbers are coming from a rush to avoid spoilers" is basically IGNORING all facts...Its so short sighted....

Your entitled to your prediction but I must say....I'm telling you right Now 2.5 Blllion ed....

its just math....

Endgame Will Make another 500 Million domestically for sure(and thats applying the Lowest MCU Multipliers)

Endgame Will for sure make another 200 to 250 Million In China

and Endgame Will for make another 700 Million + from all additional overseas Markets(IW made 1.360 M+ Internationally, If we Subtract China's 359 M , that Mean IW made 1 Billion from all remain Markets overseas.)

IW debuted with 383 Million Internationally last year

Endgame Just Opened to 530 Million in the same markets

that Means IW Made an Additionally 600 Million dollars from overseas Markets after its 383 M International Opening Weekend(Not counting China)

If IW made 600 M more after opening with 383 M....

Then Endgame is guaranteed to make another 700 M+ with opening to 530 M.....Maybe 800 to 900 Million +

so at an absolute minimum....

EG will make an additional

500 Million domestically
200 to 250 in China
and 700 Million + from remaining overseas markets...

thats at minimum of another 1.450 B...

Meaning 2.5 B+ is guaranteed and IMO 2.6 Billion Is guaranteed....

You are just drastically under estimating what the 1.2 B + global opening means...

its just Math now....

Maybe If EG was one of the worst movies ever, got awful reviews and was hated by audiences , It could fall off a cliff...

But with The reviews,ratings and audience scores....Its just Math....With an opening this big....2.5 B+ is guaranteed

EG will be at 2 Billion By monday of next week....

I know it is. Because Infinity War showed them that their movie can be spoiled.

We didn't see the same early results in Infinity War because not everyone knew Infinity War had a major spoiler such as Thanos snapping away half of the universe. Some people learned it by seeing the movie. Others learned it by having it spoiled.

With Endgame nobody is having the movie spoiled. Why? Because they learned from Infinity War.
