The Battle Lines Sequence!

Just saw the movie....OMG I'm so glad I avoided spoilers...

I'm blown away....The Last 45 Mins of that movie was the Great theatrical experience of my life....this is one of the only times I didnt feel like I was watching a movie....It truly felt like an experience.

So Many Stunning Moments....

But I can honestly say, The sequence where Thanos Beats Cap, Thanos marches his army out, then Cap tightens the strap on his shied, stands up after Been badly beating and is standing there alone in front on Thanos entire army and Then All The Heroes return and the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe is in Battle Lines across Thanos army ....Is Literally my favorite sequence in any movie ever....

IMO That sequence could not have been directed and Put together any better...a 1000 different directors could have made that sequence, and None would have been more perfect than that.

It was almost like a dream watching it.....

so many things were perfect, from the set up, To each characters arrival, The Music and Shots....

the single greatest sequence I've ever seen in any movie ever!

I agree. The look of determination on Cap's face as he tightens his shield and stands his ground alone against Thanos' army is as powerful a moment as nearly anything I've seen in a film.

@billbrown

I think Marvel movies are like Chinese food for you, bill. An hour later you aren't satisfied. I've noticed you praise a lot of their films early but after a couple of months you kinda go..."Eh...I don't think it was that great anymore. I don't even know if I want to watch it anymore.".

LOL

And...lo and behold...the films that end up moving UP in your esteem are Man of Steel and two films you say you can watch "countless times"...Wonder Woman and AQUAMAN.

Yes...AQUAMAN. Now THAT'S embarassing.

You claim 2 hours and 15 minutes of this film is either just merely "good" or even worse "WEAK".

How long until you sour on that final 45 minutes. I'll give it your usual 2 months.

"Eh...I don't think it was that great anymore. I don't even know if I want to watch it anymore.".

^^^

I think you may be secretly stalking me....I only said this 1 time like 4 months ago and somehow you remembered ....although thats not exactly what I said...I said I didnt "Enjoy them or like them as much" as I first remembered...Never even remotely said I didn't want to watch them anymore,OLD Queen resorting to LYING/Exaggerating again

as for your comments....

The Last Hour for Endgame Will always be IMO The Greatest hour in the CBM genre(unless someone beats it in the coming years)

The only other experience even remotely thats similar to JOY,Emotions and PURE Astonishment I had watching The last hour of EG was watching the 1st Avengers movie for the 1st time...

and Avengers 1 is still My favorite CBM of all time and my thoughts havent "soured" on it literally at all.

I dont think I'll ever love the Middle part of EG, although with repeat views I may grow to like it but I doubt it....

My opinions on the first hour and Last hour are set in stone....EG is securely in my top favorite CBMs of all time...

as for MOS,Aquaman and WW....you got that one wrong...Those film Never MOVED UP....

MOS and WW has been in my top 10 CBMs since the first time I saw them.

Aquaman I've now seen 3 times, I swear if it wasnt for James Wan that movie would have been a trainwreck....The story and acting is awful....But FOR ME theres no getting around ITS FUN and at least Truly is its OWN WORLD.

It is also worth noting, since you remember or study my statement so incredibly well....

I'm also having the exact opposite reaction to MCU films as well...

Like I said A few months ago...Certain MCU films FOR ME arent as great as I first remembered them to be....ANt-Man and The Wasp and GOTG2 are the main ones

But I've also had the exact opposite reaction with Spider-Man Homecoming, Black Panther and Guardians of The Galaxy

When I first saw SMHC...I truly thought it was just average, nothing about it stuck out to be as Special or great...But I've rewatched 4 times in the last year...and Its quickly turned into one of the MCU films I enjoy watching most and Is now in my Top 10 MCU films...

When I first watched Black Panther, I thought It was good but Not Great...and Didnt really have Usual MCU "fun" I always have

I've rewatched BP 4 times in the last year, and I really REALLY enjoy it now

When I first watched GOTG, I thought it was very good....But Now I believe its truly one of the best CBMs of All time.

anyways thank you for your concerns about my level of enjoyment on CBMs....

I'm sorry you couldnt get any joy out of Aquaman.

also are you also telling me you dont like MOS or WW either?? Why cant you rewatch them Like Me and enjoy them?

PS.....

still no comment on CM topping WW domestically....

Still no comment on EG easily topping 300 Million In China after you WRONGLY thought it was having a HUGE drop that would cause it NOT to hit 300 M

still No Comment on The "FEVER" continuing in to Sunday and EG coming in exact where DL projected?

Still No Comment of Shazam having A disastrous 4th week 66% drop after you Shamelessly tried to PASS YOUR LONE opinion off as a box office analyst claiming "Shazam had legs that plays and plays"

Still no Comment on Shazam now destined to make LESS than 150 M domestically and LESS than 400 M WW...and ONLY breaking Even ?

you do know HIDING from these TRUTHS doesnt actually make them go away right....

PSS

Still no comment on your now EPIC FAILS of trying to suggest Presales were overblown and everybody was hyperventilating and EG would never live up to The "completely Meaningless" presales....lol dont you think its safe to say now....You just truly didnt understand what you were looking at, and I and Everyone now had a very good reason to be "hyperventilating" about Presales....We knew we were looking at something Historic...You hilariously convinced yourself it Meant nothing that "Online Ticketing" had took such a giant leap in the last 12 months outselling IW by 7 times was "Meaningless"

seriously still no comment on any of these Horrific fails?

It's a great scene and one of the better action scenes in the MCU. But let's be real.
It owes a lot to other scifi/fantasy epics. Especially the Lord of the Rings movies and the Star Wars prequels in terms of set-up. Even Thanos' death scene is similar to how Voldemort dies in Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Part Two.
I'm glad they did it and it's a wonder it took the superhero genre so long to do a scene like that. But it's not w/o precedent now.

reply

Even Aquaman ends that way. Only under water.

reply

It was amazing.

It's more amazing when you think about it because it's all CGI but looks about as real as you can get.

I used to say about science fiction CGI that it will never look real because we haven't seen that stuff in real life and will always know it's fake. But, films like this really challenge that notion of mine.
