Vision - Dead
Hawkeye - will probably retire
Quicksilver - Dead
Loki (main timeline) - Dead but 2012 Loki escaped with the space stone who knows where
Sorry, I meant Vision. Not Ultron. Stupid me.
And Quicksilver is long dead, but in view of my error I forgive yours. ;)
You're likely right about Hawkeye.
What about Thor? Will he become a permanent member of the Guardians of the Galaxy, or will he be ejected for eating all the cheesy puffs/drinking all the beer?
Thor too fat and drunk to do anything , also not sure about Loki
shareHawkeye is getting a TV series, so he's not retiring. He has been underserved up untill this film, so I could see him carrying on and being a bridge to the new generation.
shareHe's still a serial murderer, isn't he?
The Avengers didn't erase all the horrible shit he did after The Snap. They simply brought back all the people who'd been taken by The Snap (which wouldn't, sadly, include all the people who weren't disintegrated by The Snap but died as a result of planes/helicopters/cars and so on crashing once The Snap happened).
Black Widow was a cold blooded assassin. There is such thing as redemption.
shareTo be fair, she'd been brainwashed and was acting in accordance with the system in which she'd been indoctrinated.
However, Clint should have known exactly what he was doing. He couldn't blame Loki's mind-control this time.
He killed violent criminals though, so not *that* bad.
shareTrue, but he was acting outside the law.
He wasn't simply defending lives. He was hunting criminals down.
Basically he was The Punisher, and The Punisher is a psycho.
True, but at least half of the Avengers were acting outside the law.
He definitely took it to the extreme, but he did feel remorse, so redemption is likely for him.
Yeah, killing people who regularly kill others (among other things) is forgivable. It's not right but as long as he only killed mobsters and druglords, he can be given a pass. I'm not sure what Malkovich is getting at.
shareWhat are you talking about? Gamora is back. Granted, it's an earlier version of her, so this Gamora is one that has never been a part of the Guardians of the Galaxy, but she's not dead. This version simply went off and didn't join the Guardians (yet) when they left Earth. Given Nebula is with them, however, I'd say it's highly likely she will at some future point.
shareI don't think Gamora was with the rest of the Guardians at the end of the film, but you might be right seeing that her father is now dead and her narrative arc has been hastened.
shareNo, she wasn't with them, but it wasn't because she's dead. Remember, she saved Quill, he came up to her, full of emotion, saying how he thought he'd lost her. Then, when he touched her face, she kicked him in the balls, because she doesn't know him. This Gamora was brought forward from a point before she joined his crew. She does know who he is though, because she commented to Nebula that she couldn't believe this was the guy she got involved with, and Nebula sarcastically replied that it was him or a tree. So clearly Nebula's filled her in somewhat on her time with the Guardians.
But I think this Gamora didn't join up with them because unlike the version of her Thanos killed, she hasn't yet formed any emotional attachment to the Guardians at all.
But this is what I'm saying Darren.
Will this Gamora join the Guardians? If she does, she has a lot of catching-up to do. She's literally out of time.
Yeah. They never really explained what happened to the past Gamora. She definitely wasn't with the other Guardians at the funeral. I was REALLY on the lookout for her to during the funeral and when it was panning to everyone. She wasn't on Star-Lord's ship either when all the Guardians and Thor were on it. My two guesses are they either sent her back to her actual time offscreen, or she got dusted when Tony did the finger snap to get rid of Thanos and his army. She might've qualified as Thanos' army since she came with, even though present Nebula came through the time portal also when Thanos and his army/ship came through. Past Nebula was already dead, so that Nebula didn't die. But maybe present Nebula didn't qualify since she was from the present and just trying to get her way back to the present and managed to do that through past Thanos coming to the present. But the rumored plot for Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 is somehow bringing present Gamora back from the dead.
shareI didn't get the impression she was dusted, but I suspect she returned to her own timeline/back to the past.
It might be interesting if she hung around and GOTG3 was partly about getting her to speed with all the events she's missed.
But if they can bring her back, then surely they'd be able to bring back Natasha.
I think the Hulk is fine. His arm should heal, and even if it doesn't he was able to hold up the weight of the entire compound to save Rocket and Rhodey, so he seems like he's still in good shape.
