Thanos Is Basically a Hero. Why Stop Him?

50% fewer people = fewer resources being used = less carbon generation = a sustainable planet

And the nice thing is that Thanos apparently did it without any form of racial, ethnic, class, gender, or ability discrimination. The 50% cull was entirely random, and relatively quick and painless.

He may have just saved our planet. So why should the progressive, save the planet, goodie-goodie likes of Chris Evans and Mark Ruffalo, sorry, Captain America and The Hulk, object? What are they counting on? Some entitled billionaire like Elon Musk, sorry, Tony Stark, to invent something that allows our planet to keep consuming at its current exponential rate without doing it any harm? What's it called? Fantasy fairy dust? IT DOESN'T FRICKIN EXIST!

Tighten up, or prepare for the planet to perish.

reply

Spoken like a true Eco-fascist! Tony doesn't need to invent geo-engineering, we already know SO2 can cool the planet. The US is one of the few countries to reduce CO2. Fracked gas can replace coal, unless you let the Green Tards ban it.

reply

In the same vein though, wouldn't that mean Ultron was a hero too? Sure he would've killed the whole planet, but he did it with the thought that humanity destroyed the planet already and they would come back and rebuild.

reply

Everyone is, of course, entitled to an opinion. (Even Charles Manson had one - God sent him to kill 50,000,000 people - Thank God he failed) But no hero, IMHO, thinks that genocide is the answer. I think one answer for the human race is to control population growth (not through any chemical or mechanical means, of course) through discipline. Unfortunately that is a tall order for the human race to follow.

reply

Yeah, but it's about methods isn't it?

Ultron's method would have caused immense pain. Plus, he wasn't interested in the continuation of humanity. He wanted to snuff us all out permanently.

Thanos' approach was quick and easy, or at least it seemed that way (okay, maybe Endgame will show us that it was more complicated than that), and he wasn't snuffing out humanity entirely. He was giving us all a chance for a sustainable future.

U 4got hitler

reply

Hitler committed mass genocide specifically based on discrimination.

reply

Still reduced ze pop

reply

Precisely. Thanos' snap was random.

reply

You and others saying this are crazy and need to be put into mental institutions as soon as possible.

reply

Hahaha.

"I love humanity! Now let's lock everyone up!"

By contrast, I love humanity enough to want us all to have a better life, but that simply isn't sustainable right now.

reply

If you think killing people is an okay thing to solve problems, you are crazy and should be locked up.

reply

Just you try and stop me using my Infinity Gauntlet.

Better lock me up quick, I'm thinking of giving it another snap tonight.

reply

Okay. Now you've made it obvious you're just trolling. I don't get people like you. How do you get such enjoyment out of making people mad at you? You're an emotional sadist.
