Probably the most disposable, badly written MCU movie since IM3
Sounds about right.
shareNo it does not sound about right.
shareThis is worst than IM3. Hell i think its worse than Thor 2.

I really liked "Iron Man 3". Someone did!
No, if you want to bash a Marvel movie, compare it to IM2 or " Ultron".
Thor 1 is worse than Iron Man 3.
shareI have always really liked Thor and never understood the hate.
But yeah, this movie is one of Marvel’s weakest.
I think it was combination of ridiculous premise with seriously overtalented actors cast as supporting characters.
Chris Hemsworth also were still a terrible actor at the time making even more disrepancy with the aformentioned supporting cast.
I thought Chris had good comedic timing. To me, he only appeared stiff in the first two Avengers movies. I think that was because Joss Whedon seemed to not know what to do with the character.
shareThor was hilarious!
shareShock horror, dceu fan creates negative post about a marvel movie
shareI didn’t plan to see it in the theater, but due to some weird circumstances I ended up seeing it twice.
I don’t agree that it was badly written. The main problem is that it was weighed down by the lifeless performance of Brie Larson. She may be an excellent actor in other circumstances, but she doesn’t deliver in this role at all. On the second viewing, I was especially struck by the differential between Lashana Lynch’s performance and Larson’s. They would have done better to reverse roles.
Maybe she was the victim of bad direction. Endgame should clear that up one way or another, but at this point I’m disappointed that I probably won’t see Lynch again and I’m somewhat dreading Larson’s contribution to Endgame.
I think they were going for a bit too much steeley-expressioned, believe in yourself determination as her power ... instead of he 'actual power' (a nod to gpower?) and should have focused on her being calm, considered - even a tad wiser regarding her powers - kind of like Superman. That would have been better for the character imo.
Instead a handful of the characters moments in the feel are almost eye-roll worthy.
Considering we know how powerful she is, there was no reason to really care about her wellbeing as nothing could be considered a threat to her.
