Haven't seen the movie but are those "kree" the same as the ones from Guardians of the Galaxy? Religious fanatics who want to purify everyone or something?

Same race but only Ronan and Korath were fanatics. We briefly see a Kree ambassador talking to Nova Prime and he mentions Ronan has gone rogue for some time. The same race is also seen in Agents of SHIELD.

So it's a race. Because it was really unclear in GotG. I was sure it was a religion.

Most Kree are blue but some are white or even black. I see how it could be confusing.

The movies never explained that the Kree are different colors (blue, pink, black, etc) due to cross-breeding with different races (they are trying to kickstart the Kree evolutionary gene).

Blue, from memory, is the “pure” Kree.
