I like both, but I would rank Wonder Woman slightly above Captain Marvel.

Wonder Woman, at least Gal Gadot can display more than just one facial expression.

Pitting CM against WW and other super female-led films. *yawns*
Now, now... I know the WW comparisons were inevitable! ;] That said, if you already made up your mind, why you asking? You want to see war, that’s why! XD

Anyway, other than the editing and a few standout moments, I don’t see what makes WW so much better (third act is super standard). Yes, it is a wonderful film for various reasons. But at the end of the day, I always thought it was good but not quite a great film. Perhaps up to par with some Phase 1 MCU films.

So my pick: Captain Marvel. In a word, there was more I loved about it than WW... the tone, story, humor, performances and the Carol/Fury/Goose chemistry alone. Some have said it feels like a mixture of Iron Man 1 & GOTG (while doing its own thing), and I dig that.

Wonder Woman. I thought the leads in both movies were great, but I found Captain Marvel to be overly complicated and hard to follow.

WW is a good film with assorted flaws and a terrible ending. 7/10
CM is a thin film with assorted things to enjoy and a terrible 2nd half. 4/10
