This film will be a huge hit, but it doesn't look like it's going to be Black Panther HUGE, and the relatively mixed reviews, for a MCU film, might hurt it, especially if that translates to word-of-mouth and affects repeat business.

It made 1.1b, CM might make 700m WW. Since there will be no competition this spring it will probably make more.

or it will probably make more simply because its a MCU film....and MCU films have a recent history of Making over 850 M

6 of the last 8 MCU films have opened over 115M, made more than 300 M domestically and Made over 850 M WW...

I'm sorry thats simply a pattern, thats an audience...

its got nothing to do with No competition, Its clear after 20 MCU films, There is just an audience for MCU films and the audience seems to be Massive...

but nice try, I love how your trying to make excuses for why CM is successful...

by the way you made the wrong comparison...

Black Panther and Aquaman should be compared while Captain Marvel and Shazam are compared...

I get it though...Black Panther Destroyed Aquaman in every possible way...

and Captain Marvel is going to murder Shazam in every possible way

and also thank you for giving a number on CMs box office....in another thread you claimed it would be a moderate success, I'm glad we now know 700 M is what your expecting and what you consider Moderate...

the question is, When CM easily makes more than that, Will you then actually be able to admit it exceeded your expectation and was MORE than a moderate success...

I say no considering you never admitted Black Panther's box office was impressive...

somehow you've found a way to claim Aquaman box office is great, While at the same time claimed Black Panthers box office(which slaughtered Aquaman in every way) is Not impressive...

the lengths you and queen go to literally live in a fantasy world is astonishing.

but I guess that what happens When Marvel Studios goes 20 for 20, dominates A decade and Kills DC films in every way, You and Queen simply BROKE....

But since this ain’t competing with some bigger MCU titles on RT or in general (though on Metacritic it’s in the same ballpark as all The Avenger movies), said reactionary unhinged trolls with their male fragile ego will do exactly what you expect, i. e, “it’s no Wonder Woman”, “a failure for the MCU” ad nauseam.

But lol... the disaster many of them were CERTAIN it was going to be? Ha! So very far from it. And Brie’s performance is being widely praised, so oooh!! XD There is nothing they won’t say to convince themselves or others that it’s a failure all the same. Petty and pathetic bunch.

Didn't people say the same thing about Ghostbusters 16? It was the most over hyped movie and it failed. Most people thought Aquaman would fail cause no one wanted to see a fish man movie but it succeeded. Movie goers are fickle people.

I could see Captain Marvel going either way. Obviously it’s going to open strong, but depending on the word of the mouth if it will hold up. Overall I still think it will make 850 millions WW.
