Why post here constantly? Let it go. Post on other boards. If I dont like a movie I wont go post on its board. These boards were created for the discussion of the movie. Not political attacks.
If there is a problem with an actor than post on that person page. I just dont get why this board needs to be flooded with all this crap. What point is being proven?
I'm with you on this. It seems some people use this board as an outlet for their rage. I can't imagine ever going to a board of some film, or person, or topic that I despise and insulting people and shouting my opinions at them, but that's what they do.

Thanks to people like this... many proudly anti-Hollywood yet they keep obsessing over actors and their different politics... toxic culture has become a thing. Hypocritical crybabies full of hate, lies, projection, actual agendas, etc, it’s just how it is. After seeing what they did with TLJ, one needs to wonder why should we even waste another breathe on these demented trolls? Now they have gone full triggersaurus over an outspoken actress (with good intentions I might add) who triggered them. *major facepalm*
Anyway, despite all the negativity drowning out all the positive voices online, Captain Marvel at the end of the day will indeed fly high.
Thats the whole thing. I dont want to waste breathe on them. I want to go to boards and discuss the movie but, its all just SJW this and that. Its why I never post anymore. It will just end up as an argument that was not even related to the original post.
shareThat is unfortunately 100% true. Because of this, I have put so many of these SJW-haunted individuals on ignore. This makes for a far more tolerable experience here, but at the same time not many are having new discussions about the movie itself. It’s beyond annoying.

At any rate, I’m in an Facebook group where all things Marvel are allowed to be discussed, and luckily that is one place where the situation is much more controlled whenever the topic of Captain Marvel comes up. Sure, you see some of the exhaustingly familiar anti-SJW complaints, although the moderators luckily don’t let things get out of control. They won’t stand for it. Too bad it’s not like this in many other places.
It's because the attitudes of this lead actress are universal in Hollywood. Some of us don't have much in our lives, some of us love cinema and hate to see it being used in such a way that alienates its fans. Men can't have anything nowadays without it being infiltrated by women and the next minute we're being schooled by said women that our interests are male dominated and not diverse enough. Star Wars, Star Trek, Ghostbusters, Predator, Doctor Who, got to be James Bond next.
We used to have all these tough leading men, but apparently that's toxic today.
But this is the first female marvel movie. You still have Tony,Cap, Thor, Hulk, Dr. Strange, Ant-Man, Black Panther, Most of the Guardians, Thanos, Spiderman. One female movie which leads into a movie (end game) that will be dominated by men, I feel, is not a big deal.
If some one does not like her politics I just feel like they should discuss it on her board.
True, sorry I wasn't talking about the content of the movie itself or Marvel which I know hardly anything about.
Everyone is flocking to this board to express disinterest in the politics at play in the marketing of most Hollywood films.
No need to apologize. Ghostbusters did suck btw. I dont have a problem with Rey. The execution of TLJ however. I have never watched Dr. Who so I cant comment on that. Didnt see the latest Star Trek but I thought Chris Pine was the lead. Pre-dator(sorry I have to write it that way, lol) is next on my watch list.
There is no doubt hollywood is pushing the female agenda. But they are a business. Thats why they are catering to China as well. This business will always be male and American dominated. Theres room for other demographics tho.
Personally I just want to entertained. If the product is good, than I could care less about politics.
I am among the small group that really enjoyed the new Ghostbusters. I went into it expecting it to suck, but I found it really funny. Not as overall great as the original, but I liked it quite a bit. The Last Jedi bored me, but not because of Rey. She and Poe are the best part of the new trilogy, and I absolutely loved the Force Awakens. And overall, while I can see that movies are now being made and marketed with demographics other than "white males" in mind, I don't see a dearth of films featuring tough leading men.

Personally, I think the moderators should start nuking some of the threads on this board that aren’t discussing the flaws or merits of the film at all.

Don't worry, on Wed we have (meta)critic reviews and Imdb user reviews. That and people who've seen it will take over. I'm sure the trolls will start calling them "paid shills"!
