He played Darkness in the movie Legend from 1985 with Tom Cruise and when they showed us what they looked like at the end of part one that is the first thing I thought of.
Anyone else notice this?
Not exact but very similar.
Yeah.. I remembered that as well, never liked that visualization in either the book or the this miniseries ... at least Legend was just fantasy.
shareThis surprises you? Darkness was a demon and more specificially Satan without actually calling him by the name. The Overlords look like our idea of demons and when asked what a demon looks like most will give the classic horned, red skinned, bat winged, forked tail image of Satan.
shareNo, actually, this story was written in 1953 or at least it was published in 1953. Legend did not come about until the mid 1980s, so if anyone ripped anything off it was the writer of Legend from Arthur C Clarke.
