I think everyone involved did a decent job on this. Your negative comments will discourage ScyFy from doing more real, adult science fiction. You prefer to watch wrestling and "reality" shows. That is what you are going to get.
Agreed, I thought it was surprisingly good, all around, especially the cinematography, direction, and acting. Perhaps a bit too much shaky-cam.
I read the book nearly 40 years ago, so I can't recall how exactly this mini series differed from it. I want to say the treatment of the children was a bit different? Still, I thought it was overall a decent job; I gave it a 7
Definitely a 7. Could have been much worse, but also had such... tvsyfycrap stuff that kept it from being an 8, and I think it'd be really hard to do this material as 9+ so I forgive that.

I think it would have worked if it had been done as a black comedy. In a black comedy (ie: Dr. Strangelove) You can make all sorts of nasty but truthful points about the human race with a smile on your face. And the best thing is that the really stupid people who think I'm talking about Afro-americans won't have a clue about the satiric points made and will therefore be unable to criticize.
