shareThe first scene reminded me of the world at the end of Atlas Shrugged after everybody stopped working because the government gave them everything whether they worked or not. Then the government ran out of money and society fell apart because the few producers left got sick of providing the gravy train for all the leeches.
sharePeople not having to work for the sake of basic life and dignity would be a good thing. Even if the basics were free, most people would still want things and have goals. The idea that there are "few producers" isn't even true and never has been.
