Not as great as it could've been, but still enjoyable

Keanu has ideas, and jokes and clear intention. And even if those elements are a little too fragile to carry through the running time, this a sigh of relief for Key & Peele fans. The comedians, along with Atencio, seem to understand what ingrained themselves so deeply into the American psyche and are happy to reflect that back at audiences no matter the length: http://www.cutprintfilm.com/reviews/keanu/

Agreed. Though it does get better after a semi-rough start laugh wise. 7/10

The movie was fun to watch. There were jokes/lines thrown out quite a bit and more than 70% of them landed (with the audience in my theater -- varied demographic). Not a complicated storyline, just entertaining. Music selection was great, songs from George Michael to N.w.A. And the scenes with Keanu...the fool steals them.

If this is just K&P's first movie, then I look forward to future projects.

Very beginning was pretty funny the drive home after seeing the Liam Neeson movie was a total power down... This has some really funny moments but you seriously felt all 90 minutes of this...

I agree. It was funny and I laughed a lot, but the plot seemed to drag on to the point that at times, I forgot about the cat and why they were even doing what they were doing. The movie had lots of potential, but ultimately, it fell short of being a "great" movie.

I think that sums it up. There were parts where it seemed to lack focus and some scenes felt like extended sketches but ultimately enough jokes landed that the movie was still a lot of fun and a solid first effort.
